The loss you regret the most

My answer in a recent thread by johnsteed got me thinking about this and i would love to hear other peoples experiences ( if not too embarassed )

Which loss can you just not forget? the one that makes you really mad

Mine is way back in my early days of online casino's
I had received a no deposit $10 bonus and stuck it all on 2 numbers on roulette, which came in. Then i raised my bets and hit a lucky streak and within about 10 mins had nearly $1000
At the time this was my biggest online casino win my far and i was really chuffed.
All off a free bonus, i thought i was blessed or something!
I stopped for a while and got a drink and thinking i was on a roll figured i would try out some slots with a $100 or so before cashing out....
You guessed it.....i blew the lot!

Now this isnt my biggest gambling loss, and technically speaking i didnt lose any of my own money....BUT this was my 1st big casino win and for about 20 mins i was over the moon, and to top it off i lost it playing slots and at the time i never played them ever!
I was angry for days and it still grates on me even now when i think about it.

I am sure we all have some similar stories, and i would like to hear a few if you can bring yourselves to tell

    re

Biggest loss, land based casino. Went in with $300, won a total of $4,500 on multiple slots

Next day went back and came home with $800

    .....

    My mental health!! Definetly...

But thats just me... I was such a compulsive gambler, I recall spending 48 hours in a row on a black jack table with nothing more than some rum and coke with my pack of Marlboros... I would get home and dream only about 20's been beat by Black Jacks...1000s in a row

Or amazing Paigow hands always beaten by Flush with pair of Aces....

    Gambling really fucked me up

....wait a minute... where those dreams?? or actually happened??

Interesting concept. My largest single hand loss is pictured in the attachment. While playing at Slots Royale, I drew a pair of 8s on a 4. I split and drew another pair of 8s. I split again. I drew 11 on the first hand. I considered doubling, but decided against it, as this already was a $525 hand. My largest cummulative loss was at Virtual casino where I busted on two sign up bonuses.

However, these aren't the losses I regret the most, as all had a positive expected return. The loss wasn't caused by my error. What I regret most was trying to win back a loss on the weekly bonus at Villento and more than doubling the size of the loss, losing several hundred, in the process. I did not play with any bonuses or promotions, so the games had a negative expected return. I won't chase losses like this again.

losing 2x 200 euro deposits sitckying the trident and neptune signups, within a half hour. 600 bucks gandhi!

and, after completing wr for vc 250 gbp bonus and waiting for it to hit my account, blew my remaining balance of 240 gbp just cuz i had nothing to do. 500 smackeroos down the drain!

oh but the worst ever, i played my balance down to 1.50 at nine casino, talked to live chat and they said i had met the wr so yes i could get my bonus. i asked if it was cashable instantly, and they said "you want to deposit 300 and then withdraw 300, kind of silly isn't it?" clever buggers, needless to say i blew the entire 301.50.

that'll teach me to bet more than 10 bucks a hand ever!

Land Based Casino - Jackpot Nevada - The Horseshoe - 1995

I was late and in a hurry, I had one fifty dollar chip left in my pocket. I was walking out the door of the casino when I saw the Crap table (it used to sit right next to the main Casino door)... There was this really really old guy that just kept rolling numbers.... So I laid the $50 Chip on the pass line, just to get ‘rid’ of it...

To make a long story short, in about an hour I (and the old guy tossing numbers like crazy) had turned that $50 into over $5500... then... Craps!

Man I hate when that happens. I missed the very important meeting I had and not only lost the $50 and $5500 but I also lost a very big business deal as well...

But on the bright side, the old guy that was rolling numbers at the crap table felt sorry for me (I think it was the abundance of tears and seeing a grown man whimpering like a baby that got to him) and he taught me a simple and very effective method of playing craps that is truly brilliant and wins way more than it loses... It even pays for all my trips to Jackpot, Vegas and Alantic City.

This year I've done some dough, some really stupid things $7K through my finger on BJ (I don't play BJ as a rule) I hit a really good streak, which was followed by a really bad one... Same ol same old, only another $200, next thing I did my b#lls.

4K over at River Belle...Since then hardly ever play there. Can't seem to shake that 'I'm a BIG Knob' feeling.

Lotso, WHAAAAT? Youre gonna leave it at that and not tell us what the tip is? LOL

I regret going to our local Indian land based casino in the morning. Ive never hit anything before 100pm. I lost $200 one morning and it hurt. No more.

Online, it was not stopping during a losing streak playing War at one our better casinos. Another $200, Pfft! I have to go with my gut....when I dont, I usually get killed. When I listen, I have fun!)
    Bad girl! No No!

No one individual loss stands out. But there is a theme and might explain my obsession with reverse Withdrawal I used to get annoyed about any reverse's I did. It was psychological. I used to think "okay I've got $500 due to me" following a cashout. Then within 12 hours I'd reversed it in a moment of boredom and lost of course.

Every time I did that originally I used to feel so p*ssed off I used to delete all the casinos off my PC - lol. Thankfully now all the casinos I play do (or have agreed to) give me a 1 hour or 0 hour reverse time - I still lose, but I'm a lot happier
