How are less-reputable casinos getting their "customers"?

The reputable online casinos usually advertise here on Casinomeister, Winner Online, and other casino websites. But among the thousands of other online casinos, how are they getting their customers? Search engines have restricted if not outright banned advertising or even presenting links to online casinos. Also, even with me showing an interest in online gambling, I don't really get that much spam email from online casinos I've never heard of.

Perhaps the 2,000 to 3,000 estimated online casinos is an old figure from several years past and now it is less than 500 online casinos. I just don't see how the rest of the "non-reputable" online casinos can stay financially afloat just ripping off 10 or 20 players unless the players are rich AND stupid to continue to bet large amounts.

I'd say most people that gamble, don't even know that watchdog sites as this who help people in problems with online casinos exist.
And unfortunately, some affiliates spam your mailbox with offers that sound tempting but in fact, are pure crap...

Spam e-mails, adware, less well known affiliates, random google searches etc. etc. Also keep in mind that many of the "different" casinos are in fact just different websites that lead to the same rogue casino.

    What tencardcharlie said...

and I know this may come as a shock to some, but google is not the only search engine in the world...

As a matter of fact right now google is not even the "Best" search engine, they allow way too much spam in their listings.

I haven't used ask.com in years, but I just checked it out and it looks like their layout now is an almost exact copy of google's.

I wonder what happened in that marketing meeting...

If I could find the thread I'd post it, but, CM passed a comment that is spot on here too.

It's not just newbies who fill the pockets of these rogue outfits, it's seasoned gamblers who know they arew rogues but are lured by the high bonuses. Some people simply can't look past dropping $50 and getting $400 bucks bonus cash. They probably figure if they don't pay I've only lost $50 if they do then I'm ahead.

I can't rightly say as I'm not one to chase bonuses, but, I'd say that's how these casino on the side of caution also obtain a cash flow.

This is probably the most logical explanation. I'll take bonuses if they're worth it, but only up to a limit. Any place that offers a 1600% or 2000% bonus sure as hell isn't convincing me that they run a successful operation.

I remember getting a spam email a couple months ago from Cirrus or Carnival or some other Crappy Cpays Casino who was offering a bonus of $666.

Did they actually think that would be a good selling point? Have they lost their friggin minds?

I got that one also, that was pretty much my thoughts too.

If you accepted that particual bonus, hidden deep within the the small print of the bonus terms, your soul became the property of the devil...
