    Online Casinos vs. Brick&Mortar

Thought I'd start this thread to see if I'm the only one...
    So far this year...
Microgaming... 94 deposits, total of 4330$ cashouts 2310$
RTG... 45 deposits, total of 2330$ cashouts 200$
    Playtech...33 deposits, total of 1255$, cashouts 0$
    Crypto...5 deposits, total of 540$, cashouts 0$
    Others...12 deposits, total of 360$, cashouts 0$
Poker rooms...6 deposits, total of 900$, cashouts 3600$

    Brick&Mortar...3 visits, +3200$
    Last year...12 visits, +800$

Why play at online casinos? Because it's fun and easy...profitable, in my case...NOT
    How about you?

Interesting topic. I love how you have documented everything. I did that for about two years and then stopped. (note to self...start documenting again) I have done better at online casinos for the last few years. I used to go to Vegas every few weeks and at that time I would have said that B&M were better. We only have Indian casinos where I live and they are not regulated the same (or at all) like Vegas/Atlantic City. So for this year I would say online has been better than my local B&M.

I never win at brick & mortar casinos, but they are a lot of fun. I've been to Biloxi and Las Vegas so far this year and lost about $800 total.

    Online I've done very well.

    my 2 cents

B&M casinos kill me but they are all Indian casinos around me and their payout percentages suck big time. On-lines have been a bit better but not much. I got really lucky when I first started playing on-line. Hit JP on Couch Potato and Cool Buck within the same week playing with big welcome deposit bonuses thru Platinum Play and Lucky Nugget. Cashed out some decent amounts back then. However, the last year and a half or so has been crap win wise. Dribs and drabs here and there. I am even getting sick of my favorite RTG casino - iNetBet. Slots are sooooo stinking tight it's ridiculous.
Fruit Frenzy over 25,000 -- Dollar Derby over 15,000 ?? Goes to show you how tight they really are. Then when a rarer than hens teeth bonus round finally shows up, the payout is ludicrous. Am I griping, whining, and complaining? Yeppers. But my life is boring, my husband makes me want to commit murder, and menopause has done me no favors. Perhaps, as per my usual, I am overreacting but I still think on-line casinos have taken most of us for a ride the last year or so.

I can smoke my cigars at B&M.
Divorce city if I did that at home.

Results from wagering at B&M vs online are about the same.
However the B&M comps add several $000 a year,

Way ahead at B&M casinos here...free $300 rooms weekly/monthly, food, casino money WITHOUT T&C's . Lots of comps without T&c's A tad behind at the online casinos.

Love how you broke down the issues...reminder to self....Start keeping track too!

Too tired to break it all down, but this year to date:
    B&M: Don't think I've been this year (?)
    Online +$2,444
Would have been much higher if I stayed away from Playtech & RTG...

B&M: Money-wise, down a bit, but all the comps (suites, booze, food, money -- NO WR!!) put me up overall. One of my trips last year, just before leaving, I collected $150 in cash back from points earned. They didn't even lock the doors and make me stay to wager it. I felt as if I were sneaking off with the silverware...

What I like about B&M: The sounds, the smells, the food, the gambling, the pillowtop mattresses ...

Online: I'm waaaaay down for this year, losing my profits from the last 2 years. (It's not nearly as much fun anymore.)

What I like about online gambling: I can gamble in my pajamas. And I don't have to drive 6+ hours and miss 4 days work. And I used to be able to cash out on a pretty regular basis. I never worried about my NETeller going dry. That was then...
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

great thread...i play for entertainment only. win or lose i really dont care and thats the truth. online is great for "feedin the need" but i am treated like a king in vegas and atlantic city so i make it a point to get to a brick and morter at least twice a month. smoking a fat cigar, drinking top shelf on the house, and nothing beats a hot shave with a strait razor when someone does it for you. b&m all the way baby!
