I believe that the casino gives back the double-down bet when the dealer blackjack is not revealed until you play your hand. That is the only thing I can think of why I got a dollar back in the posts above.

yep.....must be a Playtech blackjack rule.....i was playing for fun today on another Playtech and i split my hand and then when the dealer's BJ was revealed both my bets were refunded

It is to your advantage to hit a soft 18 against a 10. It would have been interesting to see how many more cards you could play.

I think this is a bit rare. I was playing single hand and split aces twice, and
then all hands hit BJ. So it is more rare than getting 3 BJ when playing 3 hands, since you can then get the face card first.
