Opinion / Big payoff
Hello-
First post and I would appreciate any opinions- I'm a novice online gambler but I do enjoy my sportsbook. During the last few weeks, I had an unbelievable run of good luck with both the same casino and sportsbook. I started with $ 750 and I cashed out $ 26,400. Most of the money was won playing deuces wild and a very lucky bet at Calder race track. I was notified by the casino by phone that if I took the winnings in a reduction of cash ( $ 22,000 ), they would notify a company representative in Miami and hand deliver the cash. MOST IMPORTANT - no paper trace. Since I have never had any problems with this casino, I agreed and the money was delivered just as promised yesterday. I tipped the representative and the two giants I took with me ( just in case ) and I ran away with my winnings. Question- did I do the right thing/ Did I do anything illegal? I did take everyones advise and never reverse a cash-in. Thanks Joe Miami |

I would have just taken the full amount in Neteller. But it does sound like fun being handed $22,000 cash with a couple of goons in tow. Whereabouts was the handoff?

Of course
You did wrong and something illegal.
You did not reported money to the IRS.. which I am pretty sure its a felony, plus you received winnings from online gambling... "recently not approved by the US goverment" and already a felony on Washington. You gave up about 4k, bad move. You could have withdrawn the whole amount in 4 paymets of $7k each through check or neteller or any other method. It was a good deal and since you accepted the casino didn't do nothing unfaithfull, however you could have made a better move, but good thing they paid. Next time, I recommend you to request advise prior doing that instead of requesting advise after you have made the deal. Anyways, good for you. The operation seems to be honest and they honored their deal... You can send me a tip if you want... I won't complain about it

The sportsbetting thing was possibly illegal but online casino gambling is only illegal in 11 states (well, 9 but 2 are too grey), and I think Miami is outside that. So my bet (sic) is that the sportsbet was illegal, the casino wins weren't.

I would say buy a bigger bed mattress and don't speak of it for 10 to 20 years.
