Review of the new MG games (June)

Low/medium variance slot

Graphics are not very exciting.
It is not a clone(new paytable) but gameplay is identical to Dino Might. 3 scatters starts the picking game to match 4 symbols.

However the multiplier you can pick is now *3 instead of *2. I have a screenshot where I hit the 4 top pay symbols and the *3 multiplier.

Taking 'Dino Might' and adding 200 millions to the theme and you basically have 'Starscape'. However this did NOT
improve the game. I like the graphics in 'Dino Might' better and it did not have the 9TJQKA symbols that MG thinks
must be a part of most themes.

I will never play it again like the 'World Cup Mania' the release like month.

Mad Hatters:
Medium/High variance slot

The graphics and sounds are excellent!

However as I wrote last month I do not the definition of the new 5-lines. Here is what I wrote:
The new lines are not all logic and symmetric.
Line 26 and 27 makes sense and they are symmetric.
Line 28... ? No logic at all. And where is the symmetic version?
Line 29 very good choice, I had guessed this. But where is the symmetric one?
Line 30: Probably designed by the same crack-head that made line 28.

It could be that the graphics representing the lines are wrong and it will be fixed soon.

The graphics and sounds of this slot do match the best produced by MG so far. ('Harveys' and 'Loaded' etc).
And it does not have the '9TJQKA' symbols.

The game has 2 features:

Feature #1: 3 clocks on Adjacent reels(not on a payline) for a picking game. 2-10*bet size prizes.
I did not manage to get 4 or 5 clock but my guess is you just get slight better prizes or just
pick more symbols (Like Wheel of Wealth - special edition)
You get this feature all the time. I do not like it. Those scatters get into the way
for good wins all the time. Only really bad thing I can say about this slot.

Feature #2: Standard free spin mode with multiplier (my favorite)
10,25 or 50! freespins for hitting 3,4 or 5 scatters. Win-multiplier is only *2 though.
Before freespin starts you get to pick one of the 3 top pay symbols (Mad Hatters) and this
one will be wil during the free spins as well. I like this feature, but it is sad that free spins
can not be retrigged. (Would have over 100% payout then I would estimate)

Special rule: When a wild occurs on reel 3(middle reel) it will 'expand' so all 3 symbols on this reel
are wild. During freespin mode, the symbol you picked as another wild, will also expand on reel 3.
This has been seen on other slots before (RTG), but it is a fun feature anyway, especially since 5 wilds pay 20000 and this makes it easier to get. Screenshot included where I hit 4 wilds.

This is a good slot and I would play it again later. Last month I could instantly say I would never play any of them again.

Still I would only play this game with 25 lines max. The more lines just lowers your variance and the
way the new lines are defined is stupid. Remember the more lines you play the lower your variance gets.
I actually always (except when making reviews) play with 5 lines with line bet=5 instead of 25 lines with line bet=1.

My favorite MG slots are now:
#1 Isis

#5 Mad Hatters

Great post zoozie, I pretty much agree with everything you said.

I hated Starscape, found it so boring and way too much like Dinomight which I also don't like.

Madhatter has its ups and downs but I can see it becomming one of my favorite games... I love the 3rd reel extra wild. Btw, when you get 4 of the clocks you pick 2 clocks in the bonus, and when you get 5 you get to pick 3.
Only thing I really don't like is that it's another 300 coin max bet game. $3 a spin is too rich for my blood, not happening.
Overall I really enjoyed this game and can't wait to see some winning screenshots.

I don't suppose you've plotted out the reels yet to see if one of these 3 symbols appears more frequently on the first 2 reels so we know which is best to pick...?

This was my first though actually. I noticed one of the Mad Hatter symbols paid less which normally mean it is easier to get. It probably is, but on the middle reel all 3 Mad Hatters only appear once each. It does not matter how often it occours on other reels. So to put it simple it makes no difference in EV what you pick. Of course MG had allready though this out, but I have now confirmed it.

Small update. It seems that feature #1 game can pay up to 15*bet size (and not 10 as I wrote) on each symbol you pick. (375 coin win on a 25 coin bet).

Any higher?

Tried Mad Hatters in fun mode and it seemed to take 100's of spins to get the free-spin feature but I did get loads of Cuckoo bonuses...

Just this minute played for real - and got 4 rabbit scatters on my 9th spin!

Only playing 20 lines @ 2c (30 lines is too silly), but won $64.84 from a 40c bet!
