Probably as a result of the OPA dissolving, The Online Casino Managers Association has been resurrected. This association, founded by the owners of Magic Oasis/Windows casinos Tony Friedman and Avi Goldman, will distribute player information to member casinos.
They also sell blackjackcardcounting software for use online: "About Blackjack 2021 Real Time Analyzer V.2 Blackjack 2021 is developed based on a pure mathematical engine designed by Professor S. Haber of M.I.T. which can be used on the back ground for any Internet casino games. Showhand.Com have raised some questions regarding this new invention : Question: What's the difference between Blackjack 2021 and all the other analyzers? Answer: All other so-called "analyzers" give you answers according to known counting methods (which are not always accurate). Blackjack 2021 uses a mathematical engine that gives you the best move for any given situation of the deck. Question: If your program is so good why don't you gamble with it, instead of selling it? Answer: We do. Question: How can I use Blackjack 2021 in Casinos on the Internet? Answer: First you run Blackjack 2021, then you put it in the background. While playing in the Casino, you play according to what Blackjack 2021 suggests. This way you can "squeeze" the maximum out of the game of Blackjack. Question: How can I use your program in a regular casino? Answer: Well, you can't. But by testing yourself with different combinations of the cards, you can develop a feel for the game, thus improving your skill in it. This way next time you're in a Casino, you won't have to pray to win. Question: Is a professional card counter better than I am while I use Blackjack 2021? Answer: While using Blackjack 2021 you are better than any professional card counter. Question: How can I be sure I will win? Answer: You can't. That's what gambling is all about. But Blackjack 2021 gives you the maximum chances of winning the game. Demo Version Now Showhand visitors and members can download the Demo version of Blackjack 2021 FREE The Demo version is fully functional except for certain capabilities which is available on the Full Version. Download Free Full Version Showhand visitors and members can now buy the Full version at a special price of $24.95 There is even a 30 day money back refund policy. I have just read through the privacy statements at both Firepay and Paypal. In both, it seems to imply that merchants sharing any personal information about Firepay or Paypal account information would be in violation of the merchant agreement. I have sent a query to Firepay in an attempt to verify this. If this is true and the OCMA is posting or sharing this information they would be in violation of their merchant agreement.
Once I hear back, I will post the response. If it is as I suspect we should complain to Firepay and Paypal and perhaps get their merchant accounts revoked. |

As posted in my "Casinomeister Warnings" section, I've updated our rogue section to include an updated bit about the OCMA http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/
and also a link to http://www.casinomeister.com/ocma.html which lists all of the member casino/portals active URLs and contact email addresses. I've also included a form letter to assist those wishing to contact member casinos. Also posted is my acknowledgment of my membership application (c'mon, gimme 'dem CC numbers!) from egamingcommission.com! Should I hold my breath? ![]() ~b |

Whut???! egamingcommission are part of this OCMA thing? They should ashamed of themselves as they claim they protect the player.
If enough people use Bryan's facility here to email their protests to the casinos involved (yes, and egamingcommission as well!) these charlatans will have no option but to back off. |

egamingcommission has always been a joke. Look at this domain registration (server is a porno server)

I have scant regard for them, but I did not think they would be as low as porno servers and association with the OCMA. Perhaps we'll give 'em a little airtime too!

If this is going to be the attitude of some of the casinos, they are going to find themselves in dire straits with some of the regulars. I dont even think these people are aware of what they are doing. Some way to run a business.
_____________________________________ hello Steph, The names of people that are passed around are usually blacklisted players right? If that is true i have no problem passing along criminals records, if youre talking about sales lists of known gamblers that i think is wrong , but to warn someone of scammers and ripoff artists and hackers is a must in my book. We are here to provide entertainment to our customers and if someone comes into my casino hacking away or finds some way to cheat it then it can become hard to pay all the people who won honestly. So, if were talking about something other than blacklisted players I might be inclined to remove myself as you suggest. ----- Original Message ----- From: Stephanie To: enrico@globalwager.com Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 10:01 PM Subject: Re: OCMA Because what they are doing is illegal. You simply cannot pass player information back and forth like trading cards. This is information which is protected by law in most countries. Any casino that does not wish to be boycotted by the majority of online gamblers will be very careful in dealing with this organization. ----- Original Message ----- From: enrico@globalwager.com To: Stephanie Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 1:28 PM Subject: Re: OCMA Why do you want me to withdraw . This is in violation of most privacy policies that online casinos adhere to, and I'm sure you can understand why I am alarmed. Would you please consider withdrawing your membership from the OCMA? The entire online gaming community would thank you for it. Sincerely, Stephanie J. ****** |

Good freakin' grief.
"So, ah, if another casino says somebody is a bad guy, it's ok. Nevermind posted casino policy, or our agreements with our credit card processors, we are nice people so everybody else running an online casino must be nice, too, right?" |
