    Neteller Deposit Problem

Made a deposit to a casino today which ended up with a message that there was difficulty communicating to Neteller and i should try again. The balance remained zero. Checking my Neteller account the deposit was removed from my balance. I called Neteller to get the transaction number. Called the casino who told me that they did see the deposit sitting there as pending but that i would have to wait 24-48 hours before my account would be credited. I had a tough time having them accept the transaction number over the phone and followed up with an email anyway just to be on the safe side.

Whose fault is it if a deposit goes adrift in cyberspace? The casino? Neteller? Nobody, because s... happens?

Anyway, if you have a similar problem, check with your Neteller account first before "trying again" and making multiple deposits (unless that's what you want to do rather than waiting it out). And also call Neteller for the transaction number just to have a track record.

I got this problem with Canbet before
I told Canbet the NTcode, they confirm it and credit my account in 1 hour.

One of the reasons i posted this was because i wasn't too pleased with the hardnosed response from the casino. I really had a heck of a time giving this guy at their CS the NT over the phone. He didn't want it really because of ... security reasons. Even though all personal info i gave him checked out. It made me decide to follow up with an email anyway. I got a reply back that it will take 24-48 hours. They see the deposit, they have my info, they have the transaction number, so why would it have to take so long? Just wanted to get a feeling whether this was normal. If i don't get the deposit quickly, i will not play at this casino and just return the deposit back to Neteller once i finally get my hands on it. Typically, no good luck comes from an accident-prone start.

By industry standards I would have to say that 24-48 hours is too long for this to be sorted out. At most of the reputable casinos I've played at where this has occured, the missing deposit would be credited within a few hours.

    Continuing problem

This is a continuing & long standing problem, and I find it unacceptable for the casino to take that attitide with the player concerned. The problem is the fault of the system used to transact between Neteller and the Casino. The error message is completely misleading, but this has been allowed to be the case for well over a year. Security REQUIRES the player to inform CS of the NT code, as Neteller will not give this to the casino due to banking rules relating to management of your account. Once the NT code has been given, there is no way it should take 24 or 48 hours, especially as the deposit has been noted in the system. Taking the NT over the phone may seem "insecure", but since when was E-mail secure!!! I actually think using the phone is MORE secure than an E-mail as it is more difficult to compromise a phone conversation than have software stealing E-mails and scanning for key words and phrases.
The length of time this problem has existed should have allowed a good & swift procedure to have been put in place to resolve such occurrances.

I've got a feeling that there must have been a lot of these yesterday. I had not one but two deposits lost in cyberspace gone from NETeller but not showing up in my casino accounts. Emailed the casinos with the transaction #'s this morning. **heavy sigh** I'm thinking this is going to take awhile.

First of all, i started this thread to alert a newbie who runs into a similar problem not to follow up on the "Try Again" and deposit again but to go to Neteller and find out what the problem is. As Vinyl said above, the message you get is totally misleading.

Actually, it was the first time it happened to me. Checked with my neteller online and saw the funds had been moved out of my acct. I called the casino's CS who saw the transaction pending but told me to wait for 24-48 hours. He did NOT tell me to get the NT from Neteller. I called Neteller to see whether the transaction could be cancelled but it was too late for that and i got the NT number to have something to track.

My casino acct was credited with the funds this morning, so it took about 16-18 hours. Not too bad, really, but it could have been handled a lot better. It happened at a casino where i played last month, had no problems, and cashed out. Just wanted to give them another try. Since i was irritated with their phone CS, i didn't want to play there (expecting that the session would go badly because of my irritation) and immediately withdrew. Sent them an email to request they do not follow the usual 24 hour Reverse W rubbish. Just got an email that they stopped the RW and are processing the payment.

Vinyl, i read your post and didn't realize the frequency with which these problems occur. This is what i told CS when i talked with them on the phone: you see my deposit pending, you have all my personal info and anything else you want to ask me. You know you will get that deposit and there's nothing I can do to stop or reverse it. Why don't you credit my account with the deposit amount and once you have "physically" gotten hold of the pending deposit, keep it and don't credit my account twice. That way i can start playing as i intended to do when i made the deposit. The answer was: "Oh, nooooo, we can't do that". Vinyl, what's your take on this? What would you suggest, besides a more descriptive, less misleading error message for a start?

    Deposit issues

This is not just a neteller issue, I made a deposit today with a CC and it said declined. I know that this CC works at online casinos as its prepaid and I use it all the time, and not to mention the fact that I had used it 2 hours before to make a deposit.

Anyway I called to check the balance on my CC and was told that it had been authorized, checked the online statement and sure enough I could see the date, time, transaction ID and who charged it.

I called the casino and was told I would have to wait until tomorrow for this to be looked into. Needless to say I was a bit angry (and the CSR got to experience my not so nice side ) I even sent them screen shots of my online cc statement. They did give me a comp but still this should not happen and when it does the wait should not be 24-48 hours.

Yeah, that IS interesting! So, Neteller what happened in late February? Funny, huh, it still is the player shouldering the burden of these problems.

Btw: just curious, i have quite a few posts but only 1 Rep Power. I see others with a handful of posts and 5 or more Rep Power. So, how do you get Rep Power and what will this Power do for you (will it attract free spins in slots and RF in VP? if so, i WANT that power!)
