I was thinking the other day about what is most important in an online casino, and what turns me off (for me it is poor and non-existent customer support). I can't begin to remember all the casinos I have signed up at, deposited and played once or twice, only to never return. Let's use the assumption that it's a casino that's reputable and has no problems with cashouts, etc. What keeps you coming back?

nice thread...

if im very lucky at one particular casino, i tend NOT to go back on a regular basis as i keep it in 'reserve' for whenever i need a win - i know that sounds a bit strange but its the same in real life for me as i have a lucky bookies that ive never lost in! ...and so i rarely go in there as i dont want to break my luck :D

as for loyalty, i stay with one particular casino as they have offered me nice presents (e.g. football tickets, nights out etc.) and very regularly deposit free chips into my account - i also stay with them as cashing out is absolutely NEVER a problem and is always processed immediately - i never have any doubts that i will not be paid

finally, the software - MG does it for me and i dont think i could be a regular on any other platform :p

Aww man, I knew there was a fourth option I wanted to include....software. Grey matter is not working today. Thanks for the reply.

I voted for fast withdrawals. I do not like casinos that make you wait 24 hours just to start processing- that is pure BS IMO. Imagine going to a land based casino and they make you stay there for 24 hours before you can leave with your winnings (testing your temptation,) no thanks. :what:

Imagine going to a land based casino in your underwear. :)

I, too, voted for fast withdrawals. I don't like the Reverse Withdrawals option (does anyone like it other than the casinos?). However, if after a 24 hour pending period you can request a flush and payment hits neteller within 1-2 days after that i'm happy.

What i don't like is a casino like Jackpot City/Belle Rocke where they have made the same mistake now twice in a row when i tried to withdraw. They readily admit their mistake, make hollow apologies, but then tell me that their "system" cannot correct it and request me to go through the whole process again. Horrible customer support and by now i have zero confidence in Belle Rocke. I will never play there again. There are plenty of other casinos with good customer support that pays rapidly without you having to babysit them with endless phone calls and emails in order to get your money from them.

Nice Thread I think all are Important but most important to me is the bonuses to your account , after all I play for fun and enjoy playing, but nothing is worsr than losing all your money on a site and you really want to play but cant afford to do so at the time, so i think its best that the casinos kick some of the money back to your account to let you play some more afterall the odds are in there favor and we will eventually lose it back anyway. Even if you won something big on a free roll the odds are most people are going to fire it right back at the casino and possibly lose even more, the casinos should watch your play and if you lose a thosand in one day they should be all over you comping your account with some good money and let you PLAY! After all thats the addiction for me is having fun with the hope of hitting a jackpot, give me spins and keep me playing and i will always be happy win or lose, the worst is not being able to play at all cause the casino broke you and they are waiting for you to dig more and they cant even comp you a lousy 10 percent or so to play with, DIGGING my pocket all day is the worst LOL!

Been there, done that, lol. And it usually happens when I'm having a drink while playing at 2 in the morning, and of course it's too late to go out and load the MC even if I wanted to...... And that is why I do not link any online payment options to a bank account, zero self control.

Solid idea for a thread! What will keep a casino on my radar are nice bonuses placed in my account on the odd occasion. Where casinos will lose my business, is precisely what others would complain about... non-responses via email. But that's getting away from the original question. So basically, what will keep me coming back are:

- Prompt responses to my queries (and with answers that were posed in said query).

- Occasional bonuses credited to my account.

- Especially those who are being understand (and at times generous) when I take a pounding at the games. Being generous shouldn't be expected, but being understanding IS important.

- Customer Support is VERY important to me. I find (like most businesses) that if the CS is great, that would lead me to believe that management (and ownership) are probably great as well.

And I suppose if there's a "gray/grey" area, it would most definitely be if I'm not losing my shirt EACH time I go that specific casino.

Unfortunately for me, my best luck would be traced-back to Capital Casino this past year (sigh) :( .

JohnSteed!!!! Where have you been my friend? We have missed you here. Actually you should get credit for this thread as I was wondering what you were up to, and thinking how "quiet" it was without you here, lol. I miss your wonderful threads and analysis, so I figured I'd better start a thread of my own...

And now they've gone and closed...that sucks.

Roger that JS!! Can't say how many times I have painstakingly prepared an email re: a query, taking extra special care to be straightforward and to the point...only to receive a reply which in no way relates to my query in any way. And this is usually after I have waited a day or so for the irrelevant reply. GRRRRRRR!!

Anyway, glad to see you back....next thread is yours!

I hear that one loud & clear

That's why I wire to Neteller not link my CC, the amount of damage I could do. Add :drink: and I blow the whole lot.

btw I voted for - Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable customer support.
as much as I enjoy chip surprises and extra comps, if the casino delivers crap service then I'm going elsewhere. There are other great MG casinos around these days than to have to put up and shut up with low qaulity service.

Thank you my dear. Actually, I've been visiting the family (folks) since the middle of January. I've really only been trolling for the past while (with minimal posts). I'm heading back to South Korea early tomorrow morning, and with that, I'll certainly have a little more time to write. Regardless, this is a great idea for a thread.

Exactly. To be honest, very few (if any) answer each specific question I want answered. Perhaps they have too much on the plate, to thoroughly look through queries. But like you, when I try to be as clear as day, it always seems to get lost. Oh well, at least some answers are better than others. Automated Responses with a casino managers name on it, will never win me over.

Excellent thread . I chose customer service because after what happened with The Grand Prive group I had never realized how important it really was . In second place would be fast payouts . I could care less about bonuses but when I have that rare oppurtunity to cashout I like to get it quickly .

I voted for fast cashouts... The rest is cosmetic...

Dont get me wrong, I LOOOOOOOOOVE bonus money, its like the casino on FREEPLAY for real money but i never seem to cash much of it out.

I see a weird irony behind having all the best people behind the scenes, the dream casino. Imagine a website so simple to navigate, software fast and furious that never crashes or makes a mistake totally free of glitches, bonuses money easy to earn, great spam free simple clear and concise marketing. A cashout system giving YOU ALL the control, put some aside for reversal, instacashouts to neteller, bank or card (keeping the usual security of paying deposited amounts back to card of course) and more.

Imagine all these things, us players would need only interact with the software. You could of course still email support, maybe feeling guilty when the flawless software dished out too much bonus money

I'm loyal to 32Red for all of the choices listed in your poll plus the fact that they treat their members on an individual basis. This is no cookie-cutter operation that blankets everyone under the same umbrella of stiff rules and protocol. There's a human side to these guys that you're not going to find elsewhere I believe.

Good question - simple answer: 1 reason only - Bonuses.
(50% absolute minimum)

There are 100's of casino's on the net.
Why play at one casino with 100% of you own money when you can play at another one with a big chunk of someone else's money? :D

Geez KK, call me psychic (not psycho), but I just KNEW your answer was gonna be bonuses, lol.

Looks like bonuses is winning out....so any casino managers out there, if you're tracking this....players want bonuses. They want to feel appreciated, lol.

Really all the criteria are important. In my limited experience with casinos, it seems that the ones who have good customer support (i.e. you get relevant replies to your emails instead of useless cut and paste jobs) also tend to have fast cash outs.

With respect to software, i would like to see more flexibility and user-friendliness that some sites have but many don't. If you want their offered bonus, you should have to claim it somewhere. If you want to deposit without getting a bonus, you should have to do nothing. Last Friday i played at a new casino (good site overall) that offered a sign up bonus AND a complimentary $25 neteller bonus. I claimed the sign-up bonus but wasn't interested in the little neteller bonus that added another 7x db to the WR. It took several emails back and forth to get the neteller bonus removed.

I would also like easier tracking for players of how much they have wagered against a current bonus. At MGs i do this by using the info on Stats but it still involves silly bookkeeping on the back on an envelope.

Very well said. That's it in the nutshell. I would very much like the CHOICE of accepting a bonus rather than getting it without asking. Ditto on that back of envelope for calculations too!!

While i'm sitting here daydreaming was just thinking that i would be more loyal to those casinos where you had the option to tick off "Please skip the reverse withdrawal hoopla and process my payment immediately" when making a withdrawal. Daydreaming . . . but not holding my breath . . .

but it still involves silly bookkeeping on the back on an envelope.

HA HA HA!!! And I thought that I was the only one who did this. You should see my desk, it's a nightmare of slips of paper, envelopes, etc. all with numbers and abbreviations for games written all over them. :o

No, i don't have to see your desk at all; it probably looks a lot like mine :) I use nifty page markers issued for free by the library and also the blank backs of failed pages from my printer to keep track of my WR and the ups and downs at neteller. We, gamblers, are a funny bunch, aren't we? We "invest" (ahem) loads of money every month in casinos but then we can't spare a few bucks on some decent writing paper.

You know, sticking with the theme of WR's, that is why I really like casinos with a live chat feature. I can't always phone because I have a five year old who hates when I talk on the phone. So sometimes, if I have a large WR to meet, it is very convenient to stop play for a moment or two, go to live chat, and simply ask how much have I wagered? That is part of the reason I love 32Red so much...Jackpot Factory use to have this, but I don't think it's been operational for a couple of months now at least. I just hate sending an email to ask how much I've wagered....usually by the time you receive a reply, you've zeroed out.

I no longer deposit or play at that casino .

I can name that casino in one guess...lol. But again, back to the point of the thread, all the bonuses in the world and even super fast cashouts mean nothing if the support is not on the ball. I don't know how the rest of you feel, but when I have money and I want to play...I want to play NOW, not an hour from now...and surely not 5 or 6 hours from now. That is why for me personally top notch, well-informed customer support who have the authority to actually deal with problems is an absolute must for me.

Yes, i like Live Chat. Such dialogue really enables you to cut to the chase and get an answer to your questions. With emails you often get generic cut and paste replies that don't really answer your questions or it is obvious that CS hasn't even understood your questions. So, lots of back and forth and lots of delays.

As to WR, unless the site has a tracking system that is reliable and easy to use, such as Crypto, i DO make my own scribbles with WR tracking. It's worth it. It has happened several times that the numbers incorrectly quoted by CS were way below mine. Thanks to my scribbles i had ammunition to firmly convince them that i had already exceeded the WR. Without those, i might have accepted their saying that i needed to wager x more dollars, played more accordingly and only to see a nice win evaporate.

Bonuses and CS.

As KK said, why play where you don't get a good bonus? But customer support is very important too, especially when things screw up. It's not fun being completely ignored by CS, or getting answers to questions never asked.

Sometimes I fire away an email just to see if I get a good reply, before I deposit.

I don't care to much about fast payouts. Since I only gamle with tiny fractions of my bankroll, it doesn't really matter if I have to wait a week before I have the money - as long as I'm certain it will show up.
