February Slot Competitions

Hi all

The Casinomeister/Slot Junkies competitions for February are now up and running at www.slotjunkies.info.

Am just sorting out January winners and chasing the two o/s ones from December. Here's the rundown for Feb:

THE GAMES

Roxy Palace have nabbed the new slot "Harveys" which is already making waves on the forum at casinomeister. Something to do with the fact you can win up to 30 free spins each with a multiplier of up to 25x possibly! Oh yeah! I've tried it and I'm definately in.

I've reduced the "Progressive Challenge" comps to two ("Major Millions" & "King Cashalot") this month as Tunzamunni is just getting boring, but I've also increased the prizes to $300 each and of course, if someone hits the jackpot, 30% gets split between other players who have entered that comp (check the rules first though). These are again sponsored by 32Red, as is the "Thunderstruck" competition again this month.

The Sands Of The Caribbean (Cryptologic) competition proved popular so they have renewed it - see what happens when people try a new casino ;-) This gives people a chance to excercise some "skill" in picking the right game. You can play ANY slot at Sands and put in your claim. Interestingly, the winner in Jan looks to have got it on a relatively small win multiple, so I get the feeling there's room for someone to take advantage in Feb with the right slot.

iNetBet (RTG) are in this month too. One of (if not THE) top RTG casinos, this is a multi-slot comp again, with a choice of three slots ("Fruit Fight", "Cleopatras Gold" or "Sunken Treasure"). These are 3 of the entertaining 5 Reel "bonus" slots on RTG software and i strongly suggest if you haven't tried these, you do as they are very neat.

Finally, Lasseters (OGS) have joined us with another skill-based multi-slot competition. I know a lot of you have never downloaded the OGS software at Lasseters but here's your chance. They have some really cool slots here plus we have a twist on the prizes. The first, second and third prizes are the usual 250/100/50, however the winning claim will receive a BONUS of 50 x their stake up to a maximum of $250, meaning the winner will walk away with up to $500!

Cheers

Is this a new rule Simmo! ? I don't remember seeing this last month.

Q. Are there any minimum wagering/deposit requirements?
A. Yes, but as nominal anti-abuse measures and only applicable to players submitting claims on the cash prizes. All that is required is that you wager at least 0.45 credits per spin (ie: $0.45c) and at least the amount of prizes on offer in a competition prior to the end of the month of the competition if you wish to have a claim on a prize considered. If you have taken any bonuses from the casino in that month, you should also have met any terms on these as imposed by the casino if you put in a claim. Players submitting claims for prizes will be required to have deposited 50 credits ($,£ or €) at the sponsor casino prior to the competition closing.

Also, someone said that you can't win 2 prizes in the same contest but I don't see that anywhere in the rules. In fact, it says that you can win more than once... correct?

Also, someone said that you can't win 2 prizes in the same contest
Who said that?? Some people should get themselves informed before they make comments like that.

Oh, and Tim, I plan on winning the 32Red comp this month...you've had it two months in a row. I'm going to have to teach you how to share!!

Simmo! you mentioned in the newsletter that some people tried to enter competitions using screenshots in play money mode. These people should be banned from entering any further contests. That's lowdown and dirty!

Probably just a misunderstanding that last one Tim. I had a couple of ppl email me asking if they had to deposit their own money to play.

The rules is a new page for Feb. I need to update the FAQ. The rules for Jan and Feb to clarify: one prize per player per comp and minimum spin this month has changed to 5c a line x lines.

I'll just go check it says that right

EDIT:

Yup...here was January's rule regarding this

Enter the comps that interest you through the Player Lounge and make a "claim" through the Player Lounge for any decent wins you hit. If you have submitted a claim for a prize, ensure that before the competition closes, you have deposited at least 50 "credits" ($50, £50 or €50) and wagered at least 500 credits at the Sponsor Casino on that specific game (unless sated). The minimum wager for 9-payline slots is 0.45 credits per spin and 0.75 credits for slots with more than 9 paylines except in the instance of Progressive slots where the minimum wager is the minimum wager required to qaulify for the jackpot. Players can win a maximum of one prize per competition so even if the top 3 claims are staked, it's still worth claiming lower amounts in case the top 3 turn out to be invalid or from the same player.

...and this is FEB's as posted:

Enter the comps that interest you through the Player Lounge and make a "claim" through the Player Lounge for any decent wins you hit. The minimum bet per spin now is set at 0.05 (5 cents or 5 pence) per line multiplied by the total lines the slot has (0.45 on 9 line line slots or $1 on 20 line slots etc etc), except in the instance of Progressive slots where the minimum wager is the minimum wager required to qaulify for the jackpot. Players can win a maximum of one prize per competition so even if the top 3 claims are staked, it's still worth claiming lower amounts in case the top 3 turn out to be invalid or from the same player.
Oh yeah. One final thing. T'struck? It's mine this time

PS. Just edited the FAQ - thanks for the heads-up

I hadn't realized the rules had changed about receiving more than one prize for the same competition, so Simmo pm'd me and enlightened me to the new rules. No big deal! I'm quite happy with 1st place, and I think it's a fair rule. I also want to let everyone know that Simmo was willing to sacrifice his 2nd place $100.00 and give it to me to compensate for any possible hurt feelings. No hurt feelings here buddy! You keep it and win something nice with it. What a great guy he is!

If neither of you wants it, I'll take it...

Oh yeah. One final thing. T'struck? It's mine this time
Ahhh Simmo, I'm just one poor girl fighting off all you men for the throne. Thor belongs to me, and the sooner you and Tim learn that, the better off we will all be.

I actually won on Harvey today, so I thought I would take my winnings over to Thor and get him warmed up for the month. He wasn't nice to me at all...until I hit this. But unfortunately, after this, nothing. But we did make a date for about a week from now.
