Hi there - welcome to the best forum on the net!

    A good question!
Most casino's have extensive T&C's that explain what bonus abuse is - but also nearly all of them have a clause which says something like 'anything the casino management deem to be abuse....'
This is what winds a lot of players up - when they fall fowl of it.

There are many forms of bonus abuse - if you want a specific answer to your question (i.e. if you've been accused of abuse, but don't know why), then please post as many details as possible here & you will definitely get answers (if not from me, then other posters). You don't have to give personal details, or name the casino (though this would help a lot!)

    All the best, KK

    Hi

I think you'll find definitions vary on this. But the essence of it is probably different depending on your perspective. A player will probably see it as fraudulent attempts to obtain a bonus by way of multiple signups, false id etc, whereas a casino will view it more from the angle of a player who is attempting to take advantage of an offer in a less than ethical way.

The fine line on the latter is drawn when you try to define a "bonus abuser" from an "advantage player", the advantage player also potentially falling into the abuser category. An "advantage player" is generally one who tries to cut and run with a profit made from an incentive on a regular basis.

Each property will probably have their own view on what constitutes each, but thats a rough way of regarding it. At the end of the day, if you are a casino you want to try and avoid players (low-rolling players in particular) profitting only from bonuses, hence why definitions will vary.

    Cheers

    Simmo!

    bonus abuse

Thanks all..I haven't been accused of abuse. There's only one casino that I got a bonus for and then cashed out when the WR was done and never went back to, but that was because I didn't care for the set up of the casino. I really don't want to even take a bonus because of the high WR.Sounds like years ago it was alot different.

Yup. There are several of us round here who play (mainly) without bonuses (unless they just turn up unannounced or are free of hassles). Makes life much easier.

Haha. Define "less than ethical". Beyond that: you figure casinos that offer bonuses to hopefully suck in the mugs to lose their shirt on "Thunderstruck" or whatever, are "ethical"? LOL.

The fine line on the latter is drawn when you try to define a "bonus abuser" from an "advantage player", the advantage player also potentially falling into the abuser category. As opposed to your "bonus abuser"? Excuse my confusion.

What a casino considers "abusive", or would like to convince people of, is neither here nor there. The fact is that there is only one kind of "bonus abuser": a casino that tries to retroactively change the terms of a bonus in order to confiscate players' winnings.

Other than actual fraud, there is no other kind of "abuse". Casinos and webbies alike may disagree.
