A "What Ever Happened To...?" Recap Of '05.

***

Hello forum members,

With the end of '05 coming to a close, I thought it would be interesting to find out more about things that fell-off the "forum" radar (over the course of the year). I welcome you all to add to this list (w/comments of course), about things which occured here and we haven't heard about them since. This topic can cover, people/forum members, winnings, money issues, customer support, specific casinos, unresolved complaints, ect...

To kick-things-off, this is what this enquiring mind wants to know:

A)
"2brnot2b and her $75,957.84."

At first I thought this case was some kind of prank, seeing that she had won all of that money playing "Queen Of The Pyramids" over at a PlayTech. But, from what I understand, it's all true. We came to learn that she had agreed to be paid in segments on a monthly basis (as opposed to one giant lump sum). The question looming, has she been fully paid yet?

B)
"Bruce Hamilton"

While I've never had the pleasure of having any direct reply/chat in any thread with Bruce, during his brief stay here, the man put up a helluva-lot-of posts (at the rate he was going, I figured he'd have the most posts here by early '09). We even got to see the man behind the mask. After revealing his photo, a joke followed wondering if he was in fact dead. Now, with his mysteriously not posting anything for quite some time now, did he in fact pass away?

Serious note: Hope he's okay, as I always enjoyed his colorful responses.

C)

"CASINOMEISTER VS. SPEARMASTER Winner Screenshots"

This would later evolve into Simmo! versus Slotster (with the help of Gramma's postings, specifically the GIANT progressive win on Treasure Nile to the tune of $102,969.09, wherein Slotster laid down the challenge in post #1856), which would later evolve into what it is now Slotjunkies.info (and as of today, Simmo! versus w2album versus realwtfsup).

Getting back to this heading, there was quite a stretch where we were seeing Royal Flushes abound. We don't see many postings from Casinomeister or Spearmaster's Winner Screenshots these days. Is it safe to assume that the great luck has dried-up for the both of them? My guess, is that they're just too busy these days. Hey, I haven't hit a Royal Flush since the 1st quarter of '05 (where I managed to hit 4, although only 1 was for $4,000 at a PlayTech no less, and another was for the .05 cent minimum over at BoDog... woof!!).

Sidenote: It sure seems like there were more big wins in the 1st quarter of '05 (until the beginning of the summer), as opposed to now. Truth or not, don't know, just seems that way.

Sidenote II: Never, never, EVER play VP at an RTG for the .05 cent minimum. I won a whopping $6.25 for that. Heck, like I couldn't have been playing max hands EVEN for the .05 cent minimum? BIG error on my part. Grrrrrrrrrr...

D)

"Forum members who came and left, all-too-early."

A short-list would include:

- dunarunnin (nope, you still B runnin')
- maerek (perhaps eaten by a SHARK )
- debzy (1-and-out)
- dancer (1-and-out)

They've all mysteriously vanished.

Feel free to add more. I was thinking about adding the list with all the posters who've been fortunate enough to have been banned this year. Now THAT would be a colorful list.

Bruce Hamilton

I believe Bruce Hamilton is alive and well and posting at "This Casino Sucks" forum. From what I hear, Mr. Hamilton was offended by some posters here and decided to switch bases (WHAT??).

Thanks suzecat,

Glad to hear that (not about the part where he decided to "switch bases" though). I'm sure lots of people would love to have him back here. He's been one of the most prominent posters over the past several months (minus the time he's been AWOL).

Well, that takes care of question B (and it's only been 29 minutes since starting this thread).

I think the "Winner Screenshots" thing may also be down to originiality. I know that I for one don't posta lot of my screenies as they have been "seen ebfroe" a number of times. Only when i hit something unusual do i post now.

As for the Meister and Spear, i know for a fact they are very busy but I'm sure they'll stop by

I'm in the dark here since I don't bother keeping up with board wars, feuds, spats, and other personal meanderings. I find it odd when people apparently fall off the edge of the world.

Didn't know there was a contest. I do know that I decided to do most of my serious "Beer system" wagerings at the casinos Spear had affiliate accounts with (the same with Simmo!). This was for shits and giggles. And there were a slew of some good screen shots. But most of you are correct when imagining how busy we are. I'm a busy guy.

And I haven't had a something good pop up for a while - that is good enough for a screen shot. I've had some great wins with Spring Break, Thunderstruck, and Ladies Nite. But these were from the free spin mode and not worth the screen shot. I am due a Royal Flush though...

Confused too. But that's the nature of this board sometimes. Especially when one comes here to complain. They join, they complain, they hope for resolution. They leave. Look at all the bonus whore posters for instance. Probelm with Integrity Casinos? They join and complain - that's it. Problem with Joyland? They come, complain, that's it. Not that it bothers me; that's just their nature.

As for some of these above mentioned posters - those who have happy clappy posts about some casino...well who knows what gets them to join and then disappear. Maybe they were frightened off, or they just got bored

I can oblige you with that. Give me a day or two.

HOFFMAN? Good question. With those millions of Euros sitting around, he ought to visit me wish list

I agree with Tim. This is a valuable post. In fact,Johnsteed does put a lot of effort in his threads/posts and many of the older posters just pale in comparison.
