Studies show that online gamblers are far more apt to be compulsive/problem gamblers than those who visit land-based. Thanks for your honesty Tombomb. You're surely not alone here, but very few would dare to admit it.

This is a gambling forum, and while gambling can be fun and, like alcohol, can be enjoyed in moderation, we have a responsibility here to speak out.

Kelly, you have no options. Kelly, you need to stop gambling NOW. Close down all your casino accounts immediately. You're very lucky to be able to do it while you're ahead and haven't lost everything

    Sincerely
    Slotmachine

I'm sorry to have to say this, but this kind of talk only makes a person regret that they've bared their soul and admitted that the gambling has gotten out of control. There's nothing a complete stranger on a forum can say that will bring anyone to a life changing decision. The worst thing we can do is treat someone who's been honest as though they're some kind of freak who has lost all control. I'm sure she's been under alot of financial pressure and realizes that something needs to change. There are other options like advising the casinos that you want a weekly limit set on deposits.. or by permenantly closing any banking service that allows you to deposit out of your checking account and instead use a prepaid card or western union on a cash only basis. To tell a person to just stop immediately and change your lifestyle is just a bit over the top in my opinion. Tim

I admit it also. I gamble online every day, and drink most days too. But all in moderation - I never get drunk and I never blow huge amounts of ca$h. I know I should cut down, but it's very hard. I don't see it as a financial problem (quite the opposite as I make profit most months!), but it is very time-consuming & anti-social.

At least I never smoke ciggies or do drugs!

I too don't like to preach, but I also urge Kelly to make sure she has control over what she's doing.
Have fun - but be careful!

While I'd like to congratulate Kelly on her huge win, I too would advise closing accounts - I find a $100 bet on a slot to be a very bad thing for someone who has to rush to put money in the bank to cover the charges.

Though I don't think I would have said it quite like Slotmachine, in essence he - and everyone else who has noted the problem - are correct.

Kelly, good luck. At the very least, take most of it, stick it in the bank, preferably an account you can't access through Neteller - and enjoy it. Even if you do give a little back, spend some on something nice for yourself, or family, so that no matter what you will come out a winner.

    Hi Everyone,
I was prepared for this when I got up this morning and viewed all of your posts. I just knew what everyone was going to say. And i want to say that you are all correct. I know those of you that are sounding a bit "harsh" are only trying to save me from myself.

Tim- I really like what you wrote and you were right, I did bear my soul. I thank you for your honesty as well.

SLOTMACHINE- wait a minute..Are you my dad reincarnated?? I mean this as a complement. I miss his words of wisdom. I know he would have given me the same advise you did.

Spearmaster- Good advise. I plan on doing just that.

KasinoKing- Thank you for your honesty. This being a "gambling" forum also leads me to beleive that a large percentage of people on this forum also have gambling issues. Why else would we spend so much of our time discussing casinos and all of the other topics that all share the common demoninator of gambling?

Tombomb- You hit the nail on the head. I know it is becoming a problem. I have considered taking my computer out of my home but my excuse for not doing this is I am a computer tech. I think if i can take a break for a while I can get it under control. I know that self disipline is the key here. Somehow I think all mine has flown out the window.

I would have quoted all of you in the above but I cant figure out how to use that function..LoL

If anyone is wondering how things stand today with Roadhouse, here goes...

This morning at 6am my time I received a call from Adam at Roadhouse telling me that he has the tracking numbers for me and he sent me an email.
Here is a cut and paste from it:

You are correct with many of your comments about the service your received from us and I am sincerely sorry for the additional stress. Your query has also exposed the delay we experience getting our tracking numbers from FEDEX and I want you to know that your comments and experiences will help us to evolve and develop our services further so that we can in time address enquiries like this with greater speed and efficiency.

I will make senior staff in our department aware of your comments and I will do my best to make sure that your experiences are not suffered by others in the future.

I thank you for your patronage at the casino and wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors. Please enjoy your great win and may it bring you joy and happiness in all that you do with it.

I would also like to wish you and your family well for the holiday season.

    Sincerely yours,

    Adam Smith
    Customer Services

    AHHHHH
Whats not to love??.I do not feel as bad about the casino. It is funny that when you finally get acknowledgement about a problem you are having the anger subsides. Sometimes thats all it takes. Good lesson for me as well.
(makes me want to deposit money again and play)....but I will resist the urge and go wash my car or something. At least I can say they seem to be owning their faults and it sounds like my experience, however faulty, may be a catalyst for putting some changes in place.

    ttfn-

I don't know how to say this without sounding condescending, but I'm really proud of you. I really hope you take that win and use it to pay some bills, or get yourself a treat, and do something to get yourself help.

As a poker player, I jokingly quote Phil Ivey's response when somebody asked him "Are you addicted to gambling?" He replied "Yeah, but I'm really good at it."

Unfortunately, there's no way to be really good at craps, roulette, or slot machines. The only thing to do is to either play at a level where losses fall into your entertainment budget, or not play at all.

I wish you the best of luck, that you might be one of the lucky few who escape their addiction with their wallets in tact.

Kelly, I'm very glad everybody here is taking responsibility for a fellow gambler and I agree with the posters here all the way. As members of CM's prestigious gambling forum, we must be ready to openly discuss all aspects of gambling, it's not all about the winner screenshots. My earlier comments were not meant to be harsh, just firm, and I wrote them out of respect for you and your life. This is a serious business, people - precious lives have been completely and utterly wasted because of compulsive gambling.

Best of luck, Kelly and congrats on your win - and thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.

    Cheers,
    SM

I am new to this group but i have read the forum here often and enjoy it. I ran across the thread about RoadHouse and I have to share my experience with you. It might be too long..and if it is, I apologize...

Upon signing up at RoadHouse, I immediately deposited 200$ to play. I wasn't worried about the bonus..I was just in a mood..I lost that 200 very fast.
Next morning I get up and WOW..I have a 200$ bonus sitting in my acct. I start playing the bonus and I am primarily playing Spectacular with the bonus spin wheel, wheel of wealth, and Break Da Bank. They were paying me ok...then I hit a big one on Break da Bank..see screenshot..

After pulling myself back together it was still giving me a pretty good return so i up'd my bet to 100$ a pull..and this is what i hit..

Simply amazing. For the first time in my life i found the cashout button, I called the casino to confirm i had met the playthru requirements etc..and cashed out with them on the phone. The "flushed" it for me which is supposed to exppidite things..So I was elated..A Fourteen Thousand Dollar Win...
I immediately notify the casino that I want an ACH transfer which puts it right in my checking acct.., I did this in writing. Three days pass, I hear nothing..I have sent emails asking for the status etc..I called their support number and I was told that it was being processed to day..Now this was the 22nd of November. I follow up with a call to the casino the following day. I am just confirming the transfer had been processed..After being put on hold for almost an hour, I was informed that the cashiers had made an error, instead of an ach deposit i was to be sent a check via courier. ..The day before I had contacted the casino and went over the final details about the cashout etc..I was told "if you wanted it to go ACH, thats the way it went" "no need to check my acct"..
Now come to find out..It was ignored and i was being sent a check..
Ok well no problem...After all i was receiving this fourteen grand on a bonus anyway..always in the back of my mind I am thinking..Bonus..hmm probobly will find a technicality to not pay...hmmm..The casino then informed me check will arrive here on Monday ...ok great...I began calling fedex two day later to try to get a tracking numer at least so I can track its location. The is nothing there nada..Nothing...

Finally this morning (monday) I call FedEx again..still no tracking number..(and this package was supposed to arrive Today..{{suspicion is growing}}..I called the casino and was told again "no one avail to talk to with the cashier group) I finally said am going to sit here until I get someone and they put a man on the phone. He said check was sent 11-23....Im getting upset because no tracking info....I then called back Fed Ex myself and they were able to finally see something but it was in florida..THAT IS IT..so now it is scheduled to arrive on Monday. So I am feeling a little better now..
What am i getting at? you Might wonder..Well I am getting at this..The support I received in these last days has been terrible. I have been told one thing and they have done another..I was treated like a looser, not a winner..I cannot beleive that when you are cashing out a substantial amount of money that they can be so careless. I guess I should be happy with my win, which i am <smile> however the interaction with this casino has made it a stressful, terrible experience. One quick note..In my discussions they kept saying how sorry they were for the numerous mistakes etc..they said "i wish there was something we could do for you"..I said well..it would be nice if you would put a small bonus on my acct to compensate me for taking the time of work today to sign for my check,unneccesarily...He said he would see what he could do. I immediatly received an email stating "I have sent your account for review and regret that I have not been given permission to credit you with a bonus at this time." I think any other casino would have been offering something but not these guys..I dont know if i am being too sensitive over this whole thing..but it is possible..You feel kind of wierd when you win. Its something I have never felt until a few days ago..If anyone has any comments I would sure like to read them. ( i have really condensed this story to give you a sinopsis of it) it may not sound bad to some of you..

    thanks for reading.

Kellye..(your most recent newbie to this forum)
By the way kellye, was that your first ever deposit at this casino and you turned it into $14000? How long did you play? What other casinos do you play at?
