Intercasino misleading players about video poekr

Email sent to me ref Double Ponus Poker (99.9% payout previously), emphasis mine:

Dear Player,

InterCasino is constantly striving to be at the forefront of delivering a true to life gaming experience.

We are pleased to announce an upgrade in our Video Poker games. The games that include the Double Bonus feature, have had their payout tables altered to match that which is found in the land based casinos.

[snip new paytable, paying 99.1% where the old one paid 99.9%]

We trust that you will enjoy your improved Video Poker at InterCasino.

Complete and utter bullshit. They have reduced the payout of the game by 1%. This is of course their prerogative, and if Cryptologic decide to do this then it is fine.

But to go out of their way to say that they have upgraded and improved the game, when what they have done is given it a WORSE paytable is misleading at best, and they should know better to send out emails like this misrepresenting a change which makes the game very much worse for the player.

It's like 'Dear Player, come and play our new improved slots. Now paying out less than the old ones!'.

Of course the result will be video poker players going elsewhere when they find out that Intercasino is being misleading about their games. They really should be ashamed of themselves.

At least we know next time they tell us to play at their 'new improved slots', it's actually marketingspeak for 'new lower payout'

just as evidence that players are being deceived by this, a quote from another site by a player who received intercasino's email:

if you play the monthly bonus through on video poker - not blackjack - then the pay out is now a little bit better.

Of course that's what they want you to think. And evidently people are being deceived
