Lasseters & Aus Vegas change Roulette limits

Lasseters and Aus Vegas just sent out emails announcing "great news for roulette players". The great news? They lowered the limits. Now instead of being able to bet $200 on one number at Aus Vegas, and $400 at Lasseters, you can now only bet $50.

If you like roulette, it is back to Intercasino or VIP where you can bet $500 straight up on a number, but the graphics are not very good. Some RTG casinos allow $250 with much better graphics.

    Question

    "Great news?"

I would just like to know the reason behind this action. -Can they no longer take the variance of big bets?

Roulette Limits at Ausvegas and Lasseters

    Hi Guys,

I'm sorry to hear that you disapprove of the new limits structure.
It is true that straight up bet limits have been lowered, but the overall table limits have been increased to $23,850. We believe this will provide a lot more flexibility for players who consistently bet larger amounts.
Our historical data shows that the number of straight up bets placed on a single number above the new limit of $50 was very minimal and it was decided that this would not have a significant effect on our players.
I would like to apologise to anyone who consistently places straight up bets of $50 or more on a single number at Lasseters or Ausvegas, but there simply aren't many that do.
Once again. I'm sorry to hear that our new limits have not been viewed approvingly.
Hopefully, our ongoing improvements, new games and features will be compensation for any inconvenience the new limits structure may cause.

    Kind Regards,
    Andrew Housego

Fair enough - but surely the idea should be to cator to ALL your customers needs?

If you lose one customer becuase of this then surely it's a bad decision. Why not keep the betting limit the same on the single number as well as the other increases?

All higher limits mean is that customers betting at these stakes are going to lose faster in the long run - although obviously it opens you up to higher variance.....but I'm sure you know this anyway.

Just a bit chicken of the variance I guess

Make it count towards the wagering requirements

So far there is only one casino that I can find that counts roulette towards their patrons wagering requirements. Do you guys thank you can do that?

I still play roulette some (even though it doesn't contribute towards the required bonus wagering), but it would be nice if I didn't have to switch games just to meet the requirement.

    Thanks,
    Stanford

    Sorry Tdoggy - no US

Renaming thread since I don't think these casinos are going downhill, and this thread has not proven that this is the case either.

Quite a few casinos allow Roulette in WR!
    Even a couple of MG's.
    These definitely do:-

    Casino on Net
Virgin Games (Currently 150% sign up bonus!) & probably the others with that software.
    Harrods

(There are some others, but I'm at work - so don't have my data to hand right now!)

Of course, low risk, or so-called 'even money' wagers are NOT allowed in WR at ANY casino.
    Smile, it may never happen...
