    Rowmare;

IMHO, I don't see how you can say that the "regulars" here at Casinomeisters' Forum attack posters that don't agree with others' opinions. This is not a one-sided board. If you look at some forums, there is constant biggering and name calling by posters as well as by the moderators. There are public auguments displayed from ex-members and members of so-called professionals organizations. Their actions are down right disgusting, insulting and should be embarassing but yet it never ceases. Members are banned from forums on a regular basis and then other forums are created just to bash others and keep the in-fighting flaming.

glodge, you are so right about the ezboards. They read like a bad tabloid.

There is no comparison between this forum and the ones described above(you know who they are). This is the best forum on the web, IMO, where you engage in conversation that is considerate, informative, professional opinions and a feeling of caring about everyone's problems. I don't see any regulars hi-jacking this forum. Here, I see expressed more of a "you have your opinion, and I have the right to disagree" but not at the expense of degrading someone. For one, Brian wouln't tolerate it. He runs a very professional operation as compared to others. There is no comparison between this forum and the others that blatantly promote rogue casinos and offer contest and promotions for their members that they know are rogue sites. There is no shame in their game.

Please do not take offense in what I am saying. I am not attacking you but just expressing my opinion about what I see at this board and what I have seen on others.

    Peace

    glodge,

I searched around a little and saw what you were referring to about several ezboards .. so I agree and apologize for the statement .. your signature is a correct one for these boards I found...

and for not having the brains to investigate a casino before playing .. it is becoming more and more knowledgable about sites as casinomeister.. etc., but it takes time as all good things do to get it out there for people to know, and til then, there are those who do not know of such places.
Some people don't want to listen, this is true, but some people are just not aware of places as this.

Didn't say it was anybody or everybody elses fault, true, it is the player who elects to play, but they can not be at fault completely for the misconducts of another, whether it be an individual or a business.

Well hell, I guess I don't have any brains then if that's the way it goes. I had a pop up ad jump at me, it was 5Roses Casino, I read the ad and thought, why not.. was there a pop up ad saying to check out this site or that site for information on them? No! Maybe because not having any brains, I didn't think of being shit on by them or any other that followed.

But got the brains now, too late it seems. But I am telling people in emails, and verbally of casinomeister so they'll know better than I did.

    rowmare,

If I truly hurt you, made you mad at how I said what I did early, then I apologize!

you are correct, people all have different views about everything. And my view on this situation is, I am the first at fault for chosing to gamble online, and Ok, I'm at fault for not knowing of web sites such as this one giving warnings of certain online casinos, and I am at fault for trusting people/businesses, BUT, those online casino's who's actions are that of a SOB are at fault for their lies, and theiving actions.
And I can just see them sitting back and laughing at every single player they burn because they 'FEEL' there is nothing that can be done to them other a little bad postings. Well I feel there is and damn it, I'm going to check into every single resource out there that I can think of and find. A criminal is a criminal and they need to be treated as such!

So, I made a big mistake and I paid for it, now it's time to try and make them pay also!

My choices are, get an attorney (cost too much), turn all information over to Attorney Generals office in Missouri (which is more than likely what I'll do), or file a complaint in Costa Rica's government about a business located there and their fraudulant behaviour (this was suggested to me, have no idea as to how or if can), or just let it go (not an option).

No, not hostile or tee'd at you or anyone here, I am just pissed that 'they' sit back and laugh at what they do to their players.

And probably laugh even harder seeing us go at each other over a post that's made, because then, it takes the attention off of them, of which it should stay!!

I'll not piss in anyones coffee as long as they don't piss in mine!

(rambling, it's 5:20am here, no sleep for over 29 hours now) So take care everybody.
And stop being so opinionated, I'm not ... lol

Hello to all: I guess in a way I started this thread at the suggestion of Bryan. I've been amazed at the twists and turns this has taken in 3 days. I now have spent a better part of this morning in fear, anger and disbelief after reading Babysitters response to Jinnia about threats at home and spamming with porno. As stated earlier, Prism did indeed call us at home and was abussive to us. Although there were no threats made, an interesting thought has been brought to my mind. 3 days after the final phone conversation between Valerie Hart of Prism and my husband our computer crashed. We are not "WEB SURFERS" and the only usage other than emails to family and friends is my dabbling in blackjack. North Shore Computer Services here in New York found 113 viruses. This was on 10/02, the phone call was I believe on or about 9/28. We've never had a problem with our computer in the 3 years we've had it. It is protected with Norton,Spybot, and other programs from our cable company. So I asked the tech how did this happen? His reply was "maybe it was sent" I had a good laugh as I honestly thought he was joking-------until this morning----I'm not an astute computer person by any means and I may be way out of line here but my train of thought is----could this have been perpertrated by an angry person or persons. Is such an act possible? Now I'm nervous about our safety and am trying not to over react. Any way..... I enjoy reading all the comments and suggestions and thanks for letting an old lady vent.

    chaverel,

You can obtain a virus via e-mail and via downloading a program...However if your using anti virus software that also scans all incoming e-mails and downloads, you should'nt have a problem...

Just make sure to update your virus signatures weekly if not more if there is an outbreak.

It's always best to use IMHO your own anti virus software ( www.grisoft.com is free - I use it my self & have not had anything in 18 months ) & also a firewall ( www.zonealarm.com is also free - make sure you get the free version though )

Apart from that your system should be locked up tight. WHat Operating System are you using?

You may find some other members who are more PC savvy than I helping you also

    glodge,

I'm not sure if all anti-viruses work the same.. I use norton and it needs to be 'enabled' in the settings to scan email. Maybe you can explain this to her if she don't know about that. And how to go into your email browser and enable the 'Do Not Allow Attachments To...blah blah

If you use a firewall such as ZoneAlarm, be carefull not to push the security settings too high, or it may affect your dial-up connectivity.
I used to be a poor wretched tech support rep for MSN, and this is a common issue.
Also, make sure have your sp1 (service pack 1)for windows (no matter what version of windows you're running) installed if you're going to use a firewall.
ZoneAlarm is an excellent program, and there is a free version.

I got jumped by a direct X trojan a couple of weeks ago and nothing I tried would get rid of it. I tried all the free removers, and finally bought Aluria spyware remover. This was the only program to find it and kill it. It was a popup stopper - and it stopped popups allright, exept the 5 casino ones it spawned incessantly. It really slowed down my computer.

(No, I do not work or spam for aluria, just sharing an experience)

Alright, well let's get this thread back on track.

I was contacted by Valerie and it appears that I didn't receive a couple of important emails which explained most of this. Since I didn't receive these responses, I had a knee jerk reaction and was a bit too harsh. My apologies to Prism casino.

I don't want to see this forum turn into a place where caustic comments dominate any discusion and threads get derailed into a cyber ditch. Let's maintain our cool calm and collectiveness.
