Victor Chandler - a SCAM mail, surely...?

I just got this e-mail, claiming to be from VC Affiliates.

I simply can not believe the genuine company would ask me to e-mail them these details...!

What do you think - is it a scam?
Anyone else had the same?

(I've bolded the bits which made my chin hit the floor!)

Dear XXXXXX,

I am contacting you to advise that your VC Affiliate account holds insufficient details, and therefore does not permit us to process payments to you for commissions earned.

To enable me to update your account and for any payments due to you to be processed successfully, please could you reply to me with the following details:


USERNAME:

VC ACCOUNT NUMBER:


(If Neteller is your chosen method of payment)
COMPLETE NETELLER DETAILS:

( Neteller User name / Neteller e mail address / Neteller ID)


(If international Bank transfer is your chosen method of payment)
COMPLETE BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS:

( Name of Account holder / Account Number/ Name and address of Bank/ Swift/Sort Code or IBAN Number)

Well, there is a way to find out... go into your VC affiliate account, check to see that a payment is indeed due... then fill out the details onsite instead of responding to the email, which looks to me like it was just poorly thought out.

Or check the header of the e-mail to determine if it was from them or not. I don't trust those e-mails because it does not indicate to sign in your account and update your details. That e-mail looks to me like a scam. They did not give any title of themselves whether they are from the accounting team or such. Neither did they provide a telephone number so you can reach them. I would not send them that info under no circumstances.
