Hi Forum Members

I am a semi-pro poker player and also Blackjack player. Mostly play in the UK poker rooms and sometimes in Europe, been to Vegas a few times, but need a bigger bank roll before I try my luck there on the Poker.

I make a decent living in tournaments and really enjoy the lifestyle.

Really look forward to hearing from you all and hopefully learning a few things here.

I know a few people who could use the above quote to describe themselves. Sadly what I find it translates to in too many cases is:

''I go to the casino, win loads of money off strangers playing poker, then give it to the casino staff at the blackjack tables when I'm done'' I hope thats not the case for you It's not the case for me of course. (I give it back at the roulette wheel...)

Do you play online or live games mostly?

Hi Guys

I play both online & landbased, online there is so much value but so much more risk of course. Best I managed so far is 4th in the PokerStars super sunday tournament. BlackJack is my weakness but I only lose a little as I know I will lose it (if you know what I mean), my income is poker really. I am a "semi" because to tell you the truth I have a good paid job.

How about you guys you play online and landbased?

Sadly I've not played either since I came back to Ireland in October... and am really missing it. Before that I played as much of each as I could (but more online through sheer convenience)

I must try to get to a game soon before I forget how to play.

Only online for me. (Except once a year at the LAC conference).
I play at PKR because I just lurve their wicked avatars!

I don't generally have the patience for the big tourneys - 2 or 3 hours only to get knocked out just before the money placings is too frustrating! Though I did finish 3rd in a "PKR Vegas Nights Speed" tourney in January & won $294 from about a $5 buy-in!

I usually just play 6-seat sit & go speed Texas games for $11 or $22.
