New but eager to gamble online!

To all fellow members,

Hi,
I am a gambling enthusiast from India. A bank employee by profession, I have always been very much interested in Casino games and gambling.

As India does not have any Casinos, I can not physically play here. However, I have played at Casinos of Malaysia and Singapore and have also won . I am well aware of the games, rules and strategies of the games that I play and like...mainly Caribbean stud, three card poker and blackjack.

I am eager to play online and want to Interact with all the veterans of online gambling. Please, anybody and everybody, write about any suggestions how to go about online gambling considering
(1) I reside in India (non US and a country not having well developed gambling laws)
(2) Totally new to online gambling and slightly scared of putting money online.
Any suggestions on casinos to start with and any precaution to be taken considering being outside US.........please contribute.....

Advice wise, I'll get the ball rolling with the two most obvious pieces of advice:

Your young and sound like your intelligent and things are going well for you. Before I started gaming online back in 1999, I wish someone would have given me the advice I'm about to give you.

Although online gaming has come a long way since 1999, it's still a very shady untrusted way to gamble.

Their is no serious gambling commission to speak of. Many will tell you their is some form of a commission in a few third world countries, but trust me when I tell you otherwise. The truth of the matter is your only course of solving any type of problem would be here at Casinomeister; where you could "Pitch A Bitch", and hope that Bryan and Max acting as a third party arbitrator in your behalf are able to come to some sort of settlement. This is rather sad considering online gaming has been around for well over a decade.

Accredited casinos listed here are your best shot, that is until they get re-listed as rogue, and removed from the good list. Just hope your not playing at one while they decide to go rogue. Not a common occurrence but does happen.

As far as gambling goes, you do get a bang for your buck playing online. The gamble that your getting a fair game right out of the gate, then the additional gamble that comes with winning, then hoping the casino even decides to pay you providing you didn't break any rules and followed the T&C's to the Tee. Then the gamble that even if you did everything right, the casino still has the privilege to void your cash out if they decided you didn't wager in the right spirit. Another words being an educated gambler online is considered by most casinos as being classified as an advantaged player, and your winnings will be confiscated for cheating.

In addition many people will swear by their honesty and promote the casinos and trash opinions like mine. Most of the opinions like mine are getting hard to come by, since most of these people have already been banned from here and other forums.

For the most part you'll find that most people that promote online casinos even if their choices are allegedly selective, are affiliated in one form or another with them, usually money being the deciding factor.

If you still insist on finding out for yourself, then go for it and I'll be looking forward to checking back on you in a year or so.

There are a lot of useful info on this forum.

I hope you weren`t scared away by the previous post.

Most players will never have problems with getting paid, but there is a small group of the same players who always will get in trouble. One can only wonder why. Some of the same people will also often talk about games being "rigged", casinos being unfair etc.

I think the casinos in the accredited list (and some who are not accredited) reflects why this industry is so great.

Hi and welcome, to the best place in town!

I just have two suggestions for you if you are determined to play.

1. Start with the accredited casinos that are posted on this site.

2. Do NOT take bonuses.

Casinos are notorious IMO to deny payments on games due to some misunderstanding one way or another...play it safe, and since you like the card games, avoid all bonuses, especially for these. Do NOT give them a reason to keep you monies.

I think that every gambler will tell you different versions of gambling based on their history and experience with it. There is much knowledge on this site, the entire site, not just the forum. You should wander around and try to absorb as much as you can.

Then, start small with deposits and only play at Casinomeister accredited casinos. They are the most honest casinos on the web. Be sure to read up on bonuses. Like Silc said, do not take bonuses. I feel the same way, but a whole bunch of other members swear by them. Just ask questions here and there will be loads of help.

From India... I'll bet you have a hard time finding places to play.

I would imagine it is near impossible to find a reputable online casino that takes play from India.
