Welcome to Casinomeister, Shuuri25!
Although I do not play other than once in a while, lots of members here seem to love poker. I am sure you will be hearing from them!

Welcome,
I, too am a poker player but of the "old school" -- I play limit poker $10-20 up to $40-80 and only play NL in tournaments. I just don't like NL for live cash games.
I have won lots of tournaments, but certainly none of them WSOP class tourneys. Most of my success is in the 100-300 player fields in the B&M casinos.
My biggest win in a $10-20 game was $4,200 at the Mirage in Las Vegas during the WSOP back in about 2004 when games are smoking hot.
I also won $5400 in a $20-40 game down in Tunica several years ago, but I am almost embarassed to say it was a marathon 32 hour session. .... (I don't do those any more.)
Nowdays, it is tough to find those "red chip" limit games that I love to play.
Online, I have had some success too but like KasinoKing I tend to play more in the SNG from one table up to the 180 player fields.
But as much as I like poker, there is that THRILL of hitting a huge slot payoff that is a lot of fun and a lot less WORK than winning a poker tourney. Making the final table of a poker tournament is extremely hard mental strain and focus. Hardest thing I ever do.

I am as long as I maintain discipline. I have the tools, the experience, but then sometimes the devil on my shoulder makes me do crazy things.
*sigh* --- If only I could always play my "A" game. But its a lot more fun to play lots of hands and drop down to my "B or C" game.
Diane.
The problem with the "A" game in hold'em, is it takes ludicrous amounts of patience. Typically I would say only 1 in about every 20 hands is a really decent one - and waiting for those is really boring!
That's one of the reasons I prefer Omaha Hi/Lo; with 4 cards in your hand and 2 ways to win a slice of the pot, you can get involved in a LOT more hands. Unfortunately not many others feel the same way, and it's very hard to find any poker sites with a lot of (if any) Hi/Lo action...
