New Forum - Screenshots

I've moved the two monstrous threads "Winner Screenshots" and "Screenshots that Suck" into their own forum here:
http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/screenshots/

Even though screenshots are casino related, it's more of an extracurricular activity, and I'd like the Online Casino section to remain focused on its main topic. This will also keep the forum better organized and on track. It will also allow additional threads and comments concerning screenshots.

I also turned off the Thanks button in the Screenshot section (boo hiss - I can hear it already ). The reason for this is that some members post primarily in this thread - nothing wrong with that - but their rep points are going through the roof, and I'd like them to participate in meatier subjects in other sections where "thanks" count for rep points. I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

All thanks that have been previously given in these threads still count. They have not been removed from your total reputation score.

To be honest with you I think this is a bit of a silly idea; it makes it more of a hassle to get to the screenshots & now I will not look at the other threads in "Online Casinos" mainly because I normally come to check out great screenshots. And hey, I liked thanking people. Getting thanks makes me feel special

But hey, it's your forum, do whatever the hell you want. You could take away everyone's rep and rename us with cleverly devised prostitute names.

The forum "Online Casinos" is just that - it's about discussing online casinos. Screenshots of casinos/poker rooms ought to be placed in a separate section. If looking at screenshots is your primary interest, now you have an exclusive forum just for that

nope I think it's a good idea Bryan.

I personally use the rep points to determine the knowledge and the honesty of there posts.
If people are only getting them becuase of screenshots then you dont really know if they have much knowledge of the whole online gaming stuff or what they are telling you has any weight behind it.
the communtiy as a whole are the ones who give the rep points so they are a good indicator of who gets them and who doesn't.

maybe put a "wow" buton there or a "great screenshot" one.

I reckon they should see the bigger picture here- those rep points are important for the new player or any one that wants an honest answer.

Thinking about this some more, I think you still want to look into the whole screenshot section Bryan and put something else in place instead of the thank you.
It is a popular section and the posters do like to let them know of the good win so maybe another button like what I said above could be something to look into.

By the way, I may have a solution for putting something else in place for thanking. What should I call it - a "Wow" button?

Seriously though, it's a good idea to change things, as long as you replace the button or just disable rep points on thanked posts in that thread.

I agree, a "WOW" or "WTG" button would be good for those that like to hit it (the button).

I, personally, stopped popping in the screenshot section everyday since the shots were becoming a bit tiresome and old with not so great shots or winnings being posted.

I do love the fact that there is a 5 scatter/5 wild thread to make it more interesting...even if the payout sucks on those , you still have a great screenie!

Just my thoughts...no offense to anyone....
