Quit Gambling User Group update

I've updated the user group Quit Gambling to enable members to quit the gambling content of the forum. Previously when you joined this user group, you were banned for good. I've decided to discontinue doing this.

The reason is mainly many of our members may be reluctant to join this user group knowing that we will ban them forever from the forum. People who are dealing with some gambling demons may need the support of their peers. And in this manner we can keep tabs on the ones who really want to quit.

So anyway, the Quit Gambling user group is an option for anyone, but please understand what you are agreeing to when/if you select this. I will contact you and we will agree that you are opting out of the gambling portion of the forum. You will have access to this announcement forum, Bierfest, Casinomeister Charities, Jokes Birthdays, and the Attic. You can only PM and receive PMs from the moderators and contacts, you can no longer access the blogs, but you can start your own Social Groups.

I also wanted to add we have around 30 members in the old Quit Gambling user group. I know some of these people may have flown under the radar and are posing as a new user since they didn't like being banned. If this is the case, please be honest with yourself and contact me if you want to participate here as a non-gambler. Thanks!

I am so glad to hear this. I have often wondered how those that quit fared. Now, with this option, they can still interact with others...and still get support..

Yes, i'm still here and thanks again for your nice words in the other thread.

Maybe i'll get back at one time the thanks button, then i can use it at least and must not nominate very helpful posts
