    Truly The End Of Poker!

    IS NOTHING SACRED ANY MORE???

I just popped into True Poker (until today, the best online poker site in the world), to find they have DOWNGRADED their software to allow multi-table play!

I can not believe they could do this! I've only been playing poker just over 2-years, but even I appreciate, and respect it's great history and traditions.
This is the classic ultimate card game of skill, guile, wit and body language.
You may not think these apply to online poker - if you didn't play at True before!

How many times have you been in a bricks and mortar casino and seen a poker player flitting between 2 or three different tables - trying to play all at once?

    JEEEEEEEEEEEEEZUS!

I would welcome multitabling because those players on 2, 3 or even 4 tables will be making crucial decisions without properly observing each game and they will make costly errors and very predictable plays.

I understand your point of view though and have neveer played at true poker so cannot fully feel your pain!!!

IMO any site that does not allow multi tabling is making a huge mistake.

For example, my issue with True is that the software was too slow and the ability to only play one table slowed things down bad. When I tried to play a second room it didnt pop up or make a noise on my turn causing me to time out a lot. Many of the other players timed out a lot too. Possible same reason? When they have a reload bonus it was so hard to work off with a single game only rule. Not to mention I am sure it was very difficult to get games going when a player would have to leave an existing game to sit and wait for a new game to open, instead of having the option to continue to play until another player arrived. Im sure that also made it hard to keep short games going.

Keep in mind most multi tablers would just play 2+ tables at another site and the one at True (just like they do at Pacific and Sporting Bet and I am sure more) at the same time. I would be sure it would be faster to just play 3 at once at same room. It should not be too bad with how slow the software was if I remember correctly.

Twice you've mentioned the 'slow software' - but I have to honestly say this is not something I've personally ever seen with TruePoker.

I'm sure that although you prefer multi tables, even you can understand my point about how frustrating it is for me. I just want to 'sit down' and have a nice, smooth flowing game of poker, and chat and interact with the other players.
I don't want to have to wait 20-30 seconds every time it comes round to a particular player I know damn well is not just considering his next move - he's off on another table trying to play 2 or 3 games at once!
TruePoker was the site where I experienced this the least. This, together with the totally awesome graphics, was why I rated it as No.1.

I've noticed another downgrade they've included too: Before, when it came to each players turn to bet, the character would put it's cards down. This gave you 'tells' as you could see when other players were peeking at their cards (also useful for 'dummy tells'!). But now you can keep your cards up the whole time.
Once again:- True Poker Crew > < Me!

But even after putting an axe through their heads & zapping them to death, TruePoker is STILL the BEST poker site on the web, by MILES!

Definitely the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
