I dont necessarily think the competition was ever fair to be honest, i've taken part in every one since it started and never won more than 25 pounds which isn't starting a party lol

The fact that its clearly open to abuse and doesnt take into account bet values is disappointing but those are the rules so there you go.

I can assure you i've no intention of setting my PC off for hours at a time at 9 pence a spin so good luck to those with the patience.

Would different competitions not be a better idea so that the high rollers (like me) aren't penalised by low rollers - e.g. if they want to low roll then let them low roll for less prize money, and let high rollers get some higher value prizes (its like comparing chalk and cheese to be honest and there'll never be a fair system doing it like it currently is).

Dare I suggest there could even be divisions/leagues over the year

Who said anything about me being a LOW Roller

It's the rules of the event that influence the play.

32Red have run some high roller events in the past, AND with an updating scoreboard. I have not seen one for a while though, so maybe we should have one for Christmas (What about it, Mark?), on the original format of Rubies Earned making up the scores. This format would suit high rollers, whilst low rollers have the Slotsmeister (well, places 3 to 32, anyway).

(Rubies are the 32Red version of "comp points", awarded for gameplay).

Dont worry VWM, you're one of the few to be mentioned in the same breath as Slotster and some of the other board originals (high roller dons)

However Mark was going to set this competition up it was always going to allow people to post practically unbeatable scores (I think the rules changed part way through if my memory serves me right)

If a limit was set so that any bet value over a certain amount would count towards the high roller leaderboard and any bet below that amount would count towards the lower roller leaderboard (there could even be a leaderboard titled Mid-Roller) then I'm sure we'd have some more realistic competition

Just my two pence (remember i'm in the UK)

Mark did mention that it was also a matter of funding. This is a FORUM event, rather than a CASINO event, and he was allocated a certain budget. He got a little more, and was able to add the 4 mystery prizes, and did trial having the top prize for accuracy in reaching 5th place, rather than posting an unbeatable score. This was the trial that didn't go down too well, even though it was far more challenging than just spinning away for a high score.

One reason for NOT counting total wagers was that players might not be comfortable having a scoring system that gave away the amount they wagered, but this is not really a problem since MOST casino promotions along these lines DO make it so that the score relates closely to amount wagered. Naturally, this leaves the LOW rollers without a prayer, so they would then gripe.

To please both, Mark would have to get a bigger budget. This might have to come from non-Casinomeister players, who in turn would wonder where their promos went.

It's more of a business thing. Casinomeister is certainly mentioned on their site, along with the awards, however, it would be poor business practice to take promos away from established players who are expecting them to fund a forum contest.

The budget for forum contests is probably related to the volume of deposits & wagering received from forum members. 32Red are EASILY able to work this out by looking at the registrants to the Slotsmeister. If Casinomeister attracted more members (outside the US), there should be more Casinomeister players at 32Red, which in turn would justify a bigger budget for Casinomeister contests.

Most won in a session contest.

    Winner = ME

Treasure Ireland COUNTS in the Slotsmeister too, but the gameplay is much slower, good for big bets to balance out those 9p Thunderstruck spins, and 5p spins on the even FASTER slot ***** ****
