Sorry Bryan but that's a diabolically bad competition.
Not only, as someone else already said, will many people just play 1 line @ 1c, but also we all know Vinylweatherman will have 3 PC's running autoplay simultaneously 24/7 for the whole month... No-one else has a chance :(

If I may suggest a better competition; it should be based on the percentage of profit each member can make from their total slots play in the month, with a minimum turn-over of lets say $500.
i.e. Say my total turnover is $2,000 and my return is $2,500 - that's 25%
And suppose VWM turns over $400,000 and his return is $500,000 - that's 20%, so I win! :p

This would be fair on everyone & give the low-rollers an equal chance with the high rollers.
The $500 minimum turnover ensures a player can't get an early big win & then just stop.
Also a week would be more sensible than the whole month IMHO.

Just my 2c ;)

PS: Happy 10th birthday! :yahoo:

I am  by the arithmetic.
Oooops yes - I made a bit of a fux pas there! :o
Both were 25%.

I should have said " VWM turns over $500,000 and his return is $600,000 - that's 20%!"

What a silly billy.
I must not drink & post, I must not drink & post, I must not drink & post... :p

Hi Everyone,

First time post for me, read the forum for a long time but thought it best to register and take in some of this valuable feedback.

I have dropped Bryan an email to discuss how we can improve this competition, but the database to record the spins has already been programmed so we cant go too far away from the original idea at this stage.

The original plan was linked to amount staked, but I thought that a lot of forum members wouldn't like this personal information to be published, hence the decision for spins, making it a level playing field for everyone, regardless of stake.

How about if we factor in the average stake (calculated over the month), e.g. if someone was to spin at 0.01, if they manage 100,000 spins their points will be 100,000 x 0.01 = 1000 points, where someone playing 1 a spin will get a full 1 point for every spin? This way, the amount staked is hidden, but the points are a good indication?

Totally open to feedback on this, either in the thread of please feel free to send me a PM.

Mark

PS - Cheers to everyone who has signed up so far. I will try and get something up for this months play (not part of the comp) so people can see how it will look.

Hi Mark,

I think that is the only real fair solution.

Although it doesn't suit me personaly as an extremely low roller :D, I believe a player with a larger bankroll should stand a greater chance of winning the top prize. It's only fair as they will be risking more than us low rollers.

However the system would not actually hide the amount staked. Since 1 point = 1 staked it's pritty easy to work out lol :). It would only hide how your points were accumulated, be that 1,000 @ 1 or 10,000 @ 0.10

I don't think there's any need to hide the amount staked, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.

These sort of comps are free to enter, and there for a bit of fun and a bonus!

Whatever the rules and potential strategies that could be employed or whatever -- just go for it... It's free and a bit of fun!

If someone wants to go all out to win it at stupid low stakes to bag 500 over a month, whatever... There's no guarantee they'll win it anyhow!

Total spins, I agree, is the only 'fair' way to include all 'rollers'...

I say go for it and see what happens!

Cheers CM, Cheers 32 - and happy birthday!

Right here goes.

Just 10 registrations so far.

I have knocked up a quick banner and a very basic page for now to show you the current positions.

32Red Casino Review

Remember, this is based on play since 1st May. This one doesn't count for the promo ;)

Whist walking to work I thought of an easy get around to the 1p a spin problem, Maybe we could just add a rule "Players must average a minimum of 0.10 chips per spin to qualify for prizes?"

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to mention, this list should update every 15 mins.

KK,
It's possible this VWM chap might not notice this loophole in the event, and might mistake it for a straight forward wager challenge, as were the Casino Action (RIP) tournaments.
Many wager challenge tournaments score based on actual amount staked, and include the player's full first name and initial of last name, and an indication of which casino. Sometimes, the player's country is shown.
This is more personally identifying than the Casinomeister username.

I only have TWO PC's here, not three, however, one is dual core, so could count as three altogether:D

Sadly, for me, I can only have ONE instance of my 32Red account running at any one time, so the NUMBER of PC's is not relevant, but the SPEED of the fastest is.

The current May data shows what a sorry bunch of slotmeisters you all are, and I most certainly will be giving this one a go:p

I would love to be part of this, but unfortunately I have NOT been able to play in any casino using your software, since I installed sp1 for Vista....microsoft REALLY p*ss me off sometimes.
I'll register, and see if I need to uninstall sp1 ....

I hate to say this but get rid of that vista. I bought a new puter few months back and few weeks later got a email from hp saying plse download rest of your vista for windows. Sure glad i didnt i have heard you cant watch movies or download music even most the casinos get blocked and chat rooms. Go into updates and see how you can delete this and go back to other mode.

And will they have possibility to register after competition will have started?

Hi SlotMonster,

If you register for this competition at any point in June, your play from 1st-30th will automatically be included.

It would be more fun if more people join early though :)

Thank you for useful answer, Mark! And what about bonuses? For example, if player makes deposit, receives the one of your bonuses, will the bonus cash generate points?
And what if this competition will end before player fulfil the WR? Will they be able to w/d their winnings (minus deposit+bonus) ?

Whist walking to work I thought of an easy get around to the 1p a spin problem, Maybe we could just add a rule "Players must average a minimum of 0.10 chips per spin to qualify for prizes?"

OK, so what are the final rules then?
1) Just total number of spins at any value. (Only high-rollers have a chance)
2) Just total amount wagered. (Only high-rollers have a chance)
or 3) Just total number of spins over 0.10/spin. (Only high-rollers have a chance)

And baring in mind the quote below; what's the prize for coming SECOND?

... so the NUMBER of PC's is not relevant, but the SPEED of the fastest is.

... I most certainly will be giving this one a go:p

Hey KK,

but in brief, every spin of a slot machine (any stake) will give you 1 point.

The more points, the bigger the prize.

To prevent abuse, when I come to pay out the top 32 (if we get that many!) I will manually check that the average bet on slots in June is over 0.10. People with an average of less than 0.10 will forefit the bonus.

Mark

PS- Second prize is 320 free chips, but good luck, maybe you'll get 1st position.

I would love to enter this. But sadly i cant. You see when i go to regiester for any slots comps,Nothing happens. This also same at ladbrokes, aswell as 32red, strange but ov customer services cant help either lol. gl anyway peeps.

Hey Hushda,

Try the register link anyway, this isnt a standard slots tourney, the data is read from the database so it should be ok?

Thunderstruck at 18p a spin it is then - I get 5 Rams an awful lot at such low stakes:p

Brings back memories of Casino Action "Thursday Thunder", 3000 spins per hour, 60,000 per day (allows breaks to reboot casino/computer), and for the 30 days of June, a possible total of 1,800,000:D

Total wagered 324,000

Total lost at 95% payout 16,200

Prize 500

er....

Houston, we have a problem:rolleyes:

The current leaderboard might suggest we are awaiting the monthly bonus before starting to wager :D

Is it likely to be a 9am or 9pm email? :p Waiting isn't my strong point lol
There's a whole month to wager in - gamblers need to be patient if they want to win...

I haven't even finished last months WR yet - not even started thinking about this month... ;)

About currency equivalence...
Does J0.10 = $0.20?

"4. Only real play on slots will contribute to the points total, other casino games and guest play does not qualify. 1 chip is equal to 1 unit of players currency."

I haven't even finished last months WR yet - not even started thinking about this month...

wow :notworthy I need to be more like that :p

Then again, if gamblers were patient maybe we wouldn't have live chat lol

btw, for anyone wondering, live chat says around midday :P

Hi Matthew

Email has just gone out, should be with you shortly. Keep an eye on your inbox :)

Mark,

I am wondering whether it is possible to allow a tourney for players from USA or other restricted jurisdictions (including mine). We can play in fun mode within a specific time frame and the winners will win 10% of the prizes when compared with the real one. If you dont play for real we arent contravening any rules, are we?

Hi ChuChu

Interesting idea, I would need to check with the IT guys as I think these territories are blocked on a IP level, and i'm also not sure if we can report on guest play.

Have you considered moving house? :D

Mark

Well, since you put it so nicely I think I shall move house when I retire which is 11 years from now. I need a good pension to contribute to the casinos.:D:D

Took forever but finally managed to get past Matthew23 - sure it won't last very long and I think I have RSI now, but I did it.

Anyone got a smug smiley I can borrow until I get shoved to the bottom?

Maybe it would be a good idea to add a link to the T&C's :). Noone would know there is a minimum bet, unless they scrolled down and read Marks post.
