Thanks for the clarification on the links KK.

As I say I think they were just being over zealous in trying to add some additional promoting. We will be having a word with them.

I am not a member over at OCR but if you want to post up my reply from here that is fine with me.

    Thanks again.

Is this saying that casinos now generally employ people to pose as players/employees and post in our forums purely in order to enhance SEO.

We know ROGUE casinos have a history of doing this, but never expected this from ACCREDITED casinos.

This may not be spam, but is certainly deception, and a breach of trust.

There is a big problem casinos do not realise. When one of these SEO experts posts and claims to be an employee, forum members may mistake them for a rep (how could you tell), and ask them for help. Not only are these SEO posters unqualified to assist, but they are NOT SUPPOSED to handle player data. Players, believing them to be a direct employee, may send their PERSONAL account details to this "rep" in their first message, or even in further messages if the SEO consultant decides to maintain cover by pretending to be in a DIRECT positon to help.

iNet do not seem to be apologising for having "fake employees" whom are merely there for SEO to post in forums, but for this one's naivety in being so obvious, and getting caught.

This lets the cat out of the bag, and it is not likely to want to go back in again.

Where casinos employ fake players, and again this is something the rogues do, how can we trust ANY "player" in the forum, especially one who gives a glowing account of the casino in question. Now, every time there is a glowing report on a casino from a forum member, we may wonder whether it is genuine, or just more SEO.

What about this spam that appears to have no affy tracking code, this too could be the work of those employed directly by casinos to promote the brand through "email direct marketing" (the polite term for spam).

The site c-f-1.com has been an enigma. A great deal of spam comes from them, but I CANNOT for the life of me find any affy tracking codes in it, most unlike other spam I get.

If casinos are prepared to have employees post in forums pretending to be someone they are not, or even claiming to be employees, when in fact they are merely contractors, it is entirely believable that casinos would DIRECTLY employ the likes of c-f-1.com to send out spammy "newsletters" to email addresses they have on file, and without using double opt-in, or similar high standards.

I'm very disappointed that a casino of your standing thinks it's OK to use this sort of marketing stratedgy...

    Wow!

This is gonna be an interesting year, as the casinos appear to be getting desparate.

And its no wonder why they are in need of depositors; over-saturated marketplace, identical product to many competitors, slow and least effective means of customer service, and apathetic when not aggressively rude CSR...

They used to be my favorite... But with options like Intertops, and CWC's, whose CSR's are polite to an extreme, whose bonuses are generous, whose help is prompt and via telephone, chat, or archaic email... I just dont know why iNetBet is voluntarily throwing their formerly quality and still esteemed (for some reason) product down the tubes...
