spam is bad enough, but a spammer that doesn't even have the guts to put the casino he's pushing in the spam email... Honestly... is that not out and out fraud?

Hi i got the most brilliant bit off spam the other day.

the address heading was mailor daeman like' which is aol service that sends a email back to you if it cant be accepted.

Ok so i kinda new it was not my email returned but off course a possibility off a little look at a private email was to much to pass by.

And yes it was cut price designer wear.

At work, I once received an email from the viagra casino, of course I didn't follow the link but i'm guessing the spammer was killing two birds with one stone.

In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penisses, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship.

A case of potential defamation of Club World, as those who don't follow the link will assume Club World casino to be the beneficiary of the spam.
It seems spammers might be switching from using purely made-up names to using the names of existing, and well respected, internet companies. This happened with GoneGambling a while back, and John certainly made his displeasure at this stunt very clear indeed

Club World should be equally robust in chasing after the rogue casino that is benefiting from this misappropriation of the Club World name.

I have received many spam Emails seeming to promote Club World, and believed it likely that Club World was the beneficiary as the offer was for a $750 sign-up bonus, which is similar to what they were offering a while back. I never followed the link to confirm the true casino behind this, but just junked the mailers.
I suspect spammers are also trying to make their spam look like genuine casino promotional mailers, figuring that players have had to set their filters to let these through despite regular spam filters junking ALL casino related content as a matter of course.

It is particularly nasty if it is not from Club World, as a search here at CM shows that they seem to have a pretty good reputation for RTG.

I had this, but my username was " ", again not my real one.

I sent this to support, who confirmed it was the new player bonus, so I am wondering what cock-up could ever result in this even getting a look in on a mailing list for EXISTING players.

At least they would most likely have paid out if the code was also mistakenly working for existing players, although this should not have been the case as the RTG redemption system should have declined the code for all but new accounts.

I think Lauren needs an upgrade, perhaps to Lyris, the "Lyris Listmanager" model perhaps
