Spin Palace are STILL at it.

It can't be rocket science, this spammer does not move around, always "majorbonuses", and always the exact same copy, including the reference to Casinomeister (as Csinomeister) that Bryan asked to be removed "right now".

I wonder if the UK Gambling Commission can do something about this, I will ask.

This is the old "Spin Palace" picture spam format, but they have now switched domains to "heftypayout.com" from "majorbonuses".

The picture advert also contains:-

Interestingly, I am addressed by name by the Playshare spammer (possibly a result of my Email address). The advert is also ILLEGAL, since on eof the currencies shown is the UK Pound, and we have it on file from Mario that the Pound is ONLY for the use of UK Resident players. The fact that the "Kahwanake" seal is on the spam renders the whole banner ad illegal under the recent announcement by the UK Gambling Commission to give the Kahwanake the "thumbs down" from entering the whitelist.
In order to make this legal(ish), Playshare will have to relicense to an EEA country, or one on the UK Whitelist.

Under UK law, Playshare is responsible for it's own employees and subcontractors, and affiliates are subcontractors in this respect, being paid for work done, rather than a set salary. This is the same relationship that exists between assurance companies and their commission only salesforces.

Yes, the currency DOES rotate, however their terms do NOT give any choice as to currency, as a few players have found out by getting their fingers burned. It is because of this term, that it can be said that ANY mention of the UK Pound, however formulated, is specifically directed at UK players, and no other country; thus, it falls foul of the UK Gambling Commission regulations that specify that only whitelisted and EEA located casinos may advertise to UK players. My Email address is an ISP based one, and can be identified geographically as being a UK mailbox.

I cannot be held responsible for what happens if I were to forward this issue to the UK Gambling Commission, or indeed Trading Standards. It is Playshare's responsibility to make themselves aware of any updates to the terms and conditions for marketing into the UK, they were clearly posted on 1st September last. I don't know about online gamblers, but it has certainly become the premier destination for online SPAMMERS!


The Gambling Commission have replied. They can only act themselves if the casino is regulated within the UK. They seem to lack the ability to take action against whitelisted casinos, and I suspect they might be powerless to enforce the rules about advertising into the UK either. Spin Palace itself is regulated in Malta, having moved from Kahnawake. It would be a matter for Malta, or the EU, however, the EU have yet to reach an agreement on a common approach to online gambling, with some even going for a ban.
