    US

I am sure there is more to this than protecting the US Citizen.
Your polititians are convinced that the American citizen is not responsible enough to make their own mind up as to whether they will, or will not, use the internet as a means to wager, yet the same polititians are convinced that citizens are sufficiently responsible in the most part to make their own minds up about whether or not to have a handgun for protection.

Our UK polititians, on the other hand, will not allow the general populace anywhere near a gun (not that it stops anyone who really wants one), yet are happy for us to gamble on the internet, down the pub, in the chip shop, and up the motorways! They are further happy for much of this industry to regulate itself, only recently bringing in the Gambling Commission and tinkering with rules for "Fruit Machines" as an update for our own ancient 1961 gambling laws.

    weird

I don't think the US has started banning casino sites. It will be a very bad move for the gambling community...

This situation is frustrating, they are so focused on destroying the gambling industry, but they won't succeed. This will be just like the War on Drugs, a lot of taxes just thrown down the drain, it doesn't matter how much they spend, gambling will not dissappear.

This was very likely caused by a routing issue with Gibtel or one of their upstream providers.
