Dogboy the RTG guy explained that:

    1. In cases where you have a pick feature the result is predetermined....your interaction is just eye candy

    2. Free spin results are not predetermined

    3. Gamble features are predetermined. I remember a while back where the balance had changed when the dealer card had displayed before the player picked their card (MGS casino). AFAIK they all pretty much work like that.

I'm happy to stand corrected and am just passing on the information I have received over time.

    Hope this helps.

    Random!

It all depends on the software!

Good, fair software should be random.
How much you win, of course, should be based on how much you risk.

Otherwise, it should all be random. The amount you bet should not effect how often you win . Just the amount.

It doesn't feel honest if that is not the case.
Just this guy's opinion, with little basis in 'fact'

It's a possibly misleading expression to say "predetermined", because that can sound like saying "not random".
You could say every spin is "predetermined", because the moment you hit "spin" the result is randomly generated in a split millisecond.

As I understand it for RTG, the same applies to the features; that is to say, the moment you hit "spin" the result is randomly generated and if the result of that spin is the feature being hit - the result of that is also randomly generated, all in the same split millisecond.
For example, if the result of your initial spin is to win say 15 free-spins - the results of those free-spins are also generated all before your initial spin has commenced on your screen.
Either way, it makes absolutely no difference to your final outcome - each spin, pick feature or free-spin is still randomly generated.

Just for clarification purposes, I was referring to predetermined as in it doesn't matter which box you choose etc.

The predetermined result is, of course, random in and of itself, but my interpretation of the OPs question was whether his interaction with the game influences the result....which it doesn't.

So, were saying the same thing.
