Exclamation BlueSQ has frozen my account!

Hi everyone! It's sad that my first post on this forum is a complaint, though, in other way, I wouldn't search for it in google Ok, the thing is that I've recently registered in BlueSQ casino and made a deposit of 2500EUR (~18k danish krones), and won on a Royal Roulette by betting on Red. All in all, my total balance was 5000EUR. I've succesfully made a withdrawal back to my debit card and made a remaining 2500 withdrawal to Neteller account. The next day I've found out that my account is frozen. After contacting support, I've been told that my account is on security check because of my strange play. I never had any bonuses, nor I've been cheating (except betting such a big sum). Live support haven't been too much interested in telling me what has happened, except that this situation is "not usual". I'm writing this post just to know if any one had similar experience with this casino? Thanks

    Hi Anders,

I've played at Blue Square for years with no issues. Difficult to know why they have done this but you have two things that coupled, could raise a suspicion. Betting consistently on a single colour might be unusual but doesn't warrant any major oddity IMO, but you have the unfortunate distinction of being from Denmark which, because of a higher than normal occurence of (unspecified) player fraud in the past apparently, is a jurisdiction that casinos often closely watch.

They may have decided that the two together warrant further investigation. The one thing I can say is that Blue Square are a very reputable outfit and they are licenced in Alderney which is a strict jurisdiction and also has a fairly well regarded disputes channel so if you get issues with being paid, that could be a worthwhile option.

    Good luck.

Thank you Simmo. I see. I'm not willing to blacken their reputation, but it seems to me that they're not going to inform me or something. I haven't recieved any email from them regarding this issue and live support doesn't say much either. If they're on some investigation, they could inform me about that. I've raised the topic in case BlueSQ's rep can say anything regarding this situation.

Well, they DID say it was because of "strange play", rather than fraud.

There are many Roulette systems doing the rounds, but they do NOT work unless there is a BONUS involved.

Casinos that take actions like this only add to the suspicions that their games are NOT random, and CAN be beaten by "systems".

Maybe this is not simply betting on red, but using some kind of Martingale progression resulting in some very large bets. Martingale DOES work when bonuses are involved, because players switch to a "grind" once a Martingale has built them a decent balance. It does NOT work in the long term, even though it might APPEAR to work in individual sessions. Martingale usually fails on the biggest "table max" bet after a long sequence of consecutive losses, in this case a long sequence of Black would have finished the OP off. Once max bet has been reached, the player can no longer play the system correctly, even if they have the bankroll to do so.

Well, as I've mentioned before, that was a single bet. I've heard about Martingale and once succesfully used it in Eurocasino (that was long ago, don't remember the exact name), but, again I say, this was a single bet, just because I had been thinking that it was my lucky day )

They too might have the clause" certain percentage per bet only" thing..could this casino also have this where if you bet the whole thing, you're SOL??

Ah, you deposited €2500, bet €2500 on red, won, and then withdrew the €5000.

Looks like their concern might be money laundering, rather than "cheating" at Roulette.

Most players would play on after that win, rather than withdrawing straight away.

You will have to show that the initial €2500 was "clean" money, and was yours to bet.

If you get nowhere with them after a couple of weeks, take the case to Alderney, who will look at the evidence, and look into whether the money is yours, and clean.

Ok, perhaps they could ask for documentation from me if they're suspecting me in money laundering. What kind of investigation is that... And regarding Alderney, I'll take this into account, thanks

SOL is an acronym for "Shit Out of Luck"

Not an obvious term for anyone whose first language isn't English.

Ah OK. That certainly changes the perspective. A single bet of that magnitude is a huge red flag - especially from someone in a country that is already regarded as a risk area - and also if you are a recent depositor and would explain the investigation. Be interesting to see what they eventually say.
