    virgin withold my money

    Virgin Games....

Whilst at work ex- girlfiend calls them up, states shes my girlfriend asks for my password as says shes been locked out, shes then given new password accesses my account spends my monies.
The worst part of this is on contacting virgin i was met with complete arrogance and hostility and asked to speak to a manager at least 10 times and was told each time hes gone out.I have asked for contact details of governing bodies etc and am literally laughed at ..
virgin have locked the account now andf i have money remaining in the account and am now told from virgin i should of withdrew it at its now lost..? i since tried contacting virgin and refuse to be spoken to anymore,im told email correspondence only..?
i feel very much aggreived as none of this is any fault on my part can anyone help?
they cant get away with this

Virgin are a big brand, with a good reputation - it's unlikely they'd intentionally attempt to "rip you off".

You need to document everything in an email, and send it to customer services - receiving a documented reply.

I assume your ex must've had all your security details etc?

Wagerworks casino's C/S are shared across a few of the brands - so they're not always the most responsive in my experience. Nevertheless, you should persevere in writing - I'm sure they'll ultimately want to do the right thing.

    Odd

Even if your ex had all the security details, they should not have given her the password, the one detail she didn't have. If she claimed to be your girlfriend, and not you, they should have not even entertained the notion of giving out the password, and they should have informed you that this attempt was made.
According to T & C, your girlfriend, ex or not, had no business playing your account in the first place.

The Virgin site is probably licenced in Gibraltar.
Take up their invitation to converse by E-mail, as this will put their arguments in writing, and you will then have your own record.
If you can get them to admit by E-mail that your girlfriend called, and was given your password, Vigin games are screwed! It would imply they give out lost information to anyone who has the right responses, regardless if it is obvious they are not you. This is a breach of data protection legislation, as your password is your personal security lock for your account. The case would be obvious, a GIRL asking for her "Boyfriends" password is NOT the account owner. If I phoned up my Mother's bank, and gave them the usual security data (which I would know, being her son), they would still require explicit permission from my Mother before they would discuss anything - this is how the data protection act SHOULD have been applied by Virgin games. Gibraltar, although not part of the EC, have similar legislation to protect data, and Virgin, being a UK brand, are expected to ensure that if they outsource their operations, a similar level of protection is applied.
Theoretically, you could sue Virgin UK in the small claims court for the lack of care shown by their subcontractor running the casino games site.

Its just the pure ignorance rudness and hostility from them, this could of been resolved quite easily.

They have a Rep here, and should he think of not answering your mail, i am quite convinced, he would give CM a hint why.
I am sure, this matter will be resolved shortly and very clearly.

    Hi LeeBond00,

I remember speaking to you on the phone last friday, but I'm still to receive the email I asked you to send or CC me with a full report on the problem (since I don't have access to the support center system from here, I cannot check your email history).

I will liaise with our call center today and try to clear things up.
Will PM you back as soon as I know more.

    Cheers,

This was first logged on the 1st feb i believe with the poker site. i have copies of all emails sent and it seems i have placed what should of been in cc into subject by mistake sorry.
Nonetheless the service has been a discrace and it is not the money i am concerned about its the fact access was given to my account.I was informed by "linda" that anyone can phone up give in correct details and gain access to accounts at virgin, and she went on to say "as sometimes people make mistakes and enter male when it should be female and incorrect dates of birth" etc.. i would like for you to listen into to all the calls please and listen to the manner in which i have been spoken, calls disconnected. everything you need to know is there as all calls are recorded.
