Part of the problem may have to do with the age of the list. If your email addresses are relatively recent, they may not exist on any of the publishers other lists, which to the best of my knowledge are cross-marketed and pollinated - so, for example, one subscription request back in 2001 may have turned into many on many lists, while another subscription request in say 2004 with a different email address may have only managed to work its way into a smaller number of lists.

I would surmise that anything subscribed to in 2005 or later is probably no longer being cross-pollinated.

What probably needs to be done is that the publisher MUST be forced to combine all his lists into one list and then scrubbed of dead and duplicate email addresses, and then NOT be allowed to use any other list.

No FL, I meant impotent as in unable to perform, as in unable to control ones own actions!! But if incompetent suits you better, so be it. You gave me an adress to opt out of these mailings that asked for the email(s) to be deleted. I followed the instructions, entered the emails that I have been getting this crap from, and apparently it didn't work. Earlier in this post you even replied to me stating that it took a couple of days for it to become effective. Maybe our ideas of a couple of days are vastly different!! Just tired of it.

I explicitly requested you to PM me or mail me at vpops@fortunelounge.com and you did not. You mailed someone else. I did not supply you with any address to opt out as I asked you, in my post, to send me your details so I can investigate why you were receiving these mails and to get you removed from the lists.

If you deal with someone else do not blame me when it it is not resolved and do not call me names.

I have repeatedly, in this forum, requested players who have issues with spam to mail me their details and to, preferably, attach a copy of the mail they have received. My mail address is very clear on this forum and I do read my PM's. Despite all the complaints posted I have not received any such mails from anyone. I will therefore, in future, only respond to complaints I receive via mail or PM and not to any further postings on this particular issue.

Spearmaster: Thank you for your sensible thoughts on this. We will certainly look at implementing your suggestion.

blaming the victim of your affiliates spam FL, is no way to do business. I have now sent you an email with my details, and can only hope that you will get my removal from the lists accomplished. I used the link provided me to remove me from the list and it did not work, it is your responsibility to keep your affiliates in line, not mine. In the future please do so and take the appropriate responsibility for your affiliates actions. As for calling you names, I'm not sure what you mean unless you consider impotent a "name". It wasn't meant as a slur at you, only an accurate discription of your actions to date on this matter!!!

Sorry you feel that way Chatmaster, but I am frustrated with all his garbage emails from his scummy affiliate. If he wants to help, take care of it with his affiliate and be done with it. I assume that you mean I'm being an "ass" when you say "arse". Who's calling names now??

o.k, sorry to be an "arse"LOL!! I'm really not trying to make this into a big deal, I'm just sick of the emails for bonuses that I am not even eligible for! In fact, between this and my last post, I received yet another one from Casinos-Online!!! That is after I emailed my info to the FL rep (Who I'm sure is very verile and potent!!)LOL!!

I'll try not to be such an arse in the future if the FL rep will just take care of this, it sure doesn't make me want to spend any money with them now!

Scrollock: For someone who has been involved in this forum for such a long time and who is supposed to know enough about this industry to know how marketing works, I am quite surprised about your comments.

The fact that the person who "runs" Villento worked here before does not mean or even imply that we have an affiliation or association with them. I stand by my statement in this regard.

The fact that we have someone marketing on our behalf does not mean that we give them our database to market to. It is insane to think that we will pay someone for acquired players from a database we can market to ourselves. Your comment in this regard is just plain malicious and without any intelligence. It is also out of line whith what I interpret as the original intent of this site.

I can recall the days in this forum when there was decent debate and respect that added value to both casinos and players but this seems to have turned into a casino bashing fest.

The reality is that casino representatives do not have to be on this forum. I have participated in the past to deal with player issues and have managed to rectify several situations where we did not act correctly. Postings is this forum have also contributed to us changing policies and procedures in order to become more player friendly. Casino representatives take part in this forum to rectify service issues and to learn how to improve their service. Also to add value to this forum and their and other players.Those who are not interested in this probably don't take part.

Unfortunately there is this tendency to keep on slating casinos, despite proper answers supplied or issues rectified. Right now there is little benefit for us to participate if our comments and positive actions / efforts are continuously slated and postings such as this are being allowed. Of course I expect comments to this response that I am playing the victim - it has become the norm.

The reality is that, if there is no mutual respect, you stand to lose the participation of casino representatives and no-one will benefit.

We are not even "recommended" on this site (and I fully understand why), yet we have continued to participate. Maybe it is time we seriously reconsider this.
