Ok. I'm confused.

If you (or Fortune) have nothing at all to do with Villento, how is it that you can get my email removed from their list?

It is entirely possible that my email address was picked up elsewhere - but that is no excuse to send me emails - I am assuming that there has to be some connection between you and Villento - or could Villento be that partner/publisher you have referred to in the past?

I truly believe my email was gleaned via FL mailing list somehow.

I believe it was most likely (90%) not on purpose through.

Fortune Lounge, dont get me wrong, you guys are great as a casino and are top notch in my book!

So these affiliates of yours FL just pulled our info out of thin air?? Man, you guys just can't fess up that someone screwed up and gave out our addresses!! I will wait a couple of days and see if I am still receiving the emails. If so, you can be sure you will hear about it again. I do agree that you have nothing to gain by pissing off account holders, so why did you????

It is monday, July 3rd and I have three more spam emails from casinos-online yet again!! The FL rep says it takes awhile to get the email address removed, but how long??? I'm sick of it and I am so sour against the FL group that I will never even visit one of their sites again. If anyone has any info on how to stop this crap, please,please let me know! Apparently the FL rep is impotent to do anything in this regard.

pacer, I would appreciate it if you could mail me these mails you received. I need to see where exactly they are coming from as it may be from a different source. I personally test the unsubscribe function at least once a week and I have had no problems unsubscribing from the publisher you claim these mails are from.

Also, you sent the PM to another person. I found out by chance that you mailed another FL representative who actually only deals with affiliate issues. It is as simple as just clicking on my link.

FL, I think you are missing the whole problem - it is not necessarily that the unsubscribe does not work - it probably works just fine - but the publisher will keep resubscribing you every few months without your permission.

You cannot test for that. This is what I have repeatedly complained about in the past - even if we DO unsubscribe, and the unsubscribe DOES work (hopefully without a double-opt-out) - you will get re-subscribed within a few months, just like clockwork.

In other words, this publisher pretends to be in compliance - then after a while he will simply start mailing you again without your permission.

If this is happening, it is totally unacceptable.

The way in which we test the publisher is by subscribing from a number of secret e-mail addresses. So far none of the addresses we have unsubscribed from have been re-subscribed but I will be keeping a very close watch on this.

I value your comments and the ones posted by other forum members but I really need examples. Several players have complained about this before and even in this thread I have requested examples but I do not get any response and it therefore does not help me at all.

I can, unfortunately not do anything about this if I do not get co-operation.

No wonder people think I am incompetent / impotent...............
