I think any bonus credited mid-play is crap! You know how many times I contacted FL support to ask, "Where the hell's my bonus, you cheap-no-bonus-creditin''- bastids!?!?" only to have it pointed out that the bonus was credited, mid-play, and had been dispatched to the netherworld of countless, other lost wagers, when I had never even known it had existed? Gotta be dozens. I get more satisfaction than that from a wet dream!
As I mentioned, they said this was a new sign up bonus offer, no opting in necessary BUT:
- My original & Sultan's account was opened in 2005.
- It had been closed for a year or two due to "inactivity."
- When I found that FL would be willing to process WD's to my eWallet within minutes from my telephoning, I started rounding up my FL account #s and a VIP rep suggested I re-open the "closed" accounts using a throw-down UK addy which support would update with my US addy.
- I was surprised to find that all of the re-opened accounts were eligible for the current "new sign-up" offers as advertised on the various sites' web pages. (Wah-Hoo!! Right? Read on.) All but one consisted of the usual "Free Play" shticks or "No Deposit Bonuses" or "Match Deposit Bonus" offers. I never bothered looking at the offers at the websites as I hadn't thought that I would actually be eligible for any of them.
- As far as I was concerned, since I had previously held accounts at all of these sites, I was just there to download the software. After installing the software and registering was when I realized that I was going to get the sign-up deals - cuz there they were! And since I was a FLOG (Fortune Lounge Original Gangsta) - what could I need to know form going back and reading bonus terms? I was just gonna play slots as long as I was in promotional play and keep my bets under 1% of my balance. What could go wrong? And nothing did...directly!
- What I didn't know, and would never have anticipated in a million years, was that the confusing maze of bundled bonuses, some requiring one to opt into and some automatic, theoretically spanning a period of 7 months or longer, which comprised 7 Sultan's new sign-up offer, more closely resembled an instrument of Wall Street's now infamous practice of trading in mortgage backed, toxic derivatives than any FL offer I've ever seen!*
- I was half shocked/half amused to read that my bonus deal consisted of three consecutive match deposits, each requiring one to opt into to activate plus six additional match deposit bonuses on the first deposit of each month - automatically credited with no opt-in necessary! (WTF?!?)* OK, I am sure I was aware of the first 100% bonus of $200 matching my $$200 deposit in 12/09, but by last week I certainly had forgotten all about it when I deposit $50.
- Here are the wacky, wacky details, which, I wouldn't be surprised to learn, had been conceived by a moonlighting Goldman-Sachs security analyst:*
Welcome to 7 Sultans Casino! We're offering all new customers 9 fantastic deposit match bonuses, totaling €1000 in bonuses!
Make your first Deposit at 7 Sultans and we will match your first deposit with 100% up to $200 FREE
Make your second deposit at 7 Sultans and we will match your second deposit with 25% up to $125 FREE
Make your third deposit at 7 Sultans and we will match your third deposit with 50% up to $75 FREE
In addition, you will be eligible to receive 6 Monthly Purchase Match Bonuses of 50% on your first deposit in a month, up to $100 free per month. That's a total of $600 Free. The 6 Monthly Bonuses are automatically credited to your casino account when you make your first deposit in each new month.
To claim any one of the first 3 bonuses click the associated 'Claim Bonus' button inside the Casino.- According to the audit of my 7 Sultans account since it's inception, offered by A.J. of FL support and accepted by myself as the path of least resistance, I obviously opted into the first bonus.
- Curiously, according to FL's own audit, (see below) my second and third deposits of $50 each made on the same day and the same session as my first, ill-fated $200 bonused deposit received no match bonuses!(and 4th & 5th, needless to say! lol) Curiouser still, a GoneGambling.com, high-roller bonus promotion which is not a deposit by any stretch of the imagination, but a bonus generated internally by FL upon a notification email sent from GoneGambling.com triggered a deposit match being credited. The bonus was $15 and the match bonus on the bonus!?!
was $10. Now that's a 75% bonus. But there was no 75% bonus in the deal. But there were two un-fulfilled bonuses consisting of a the 25% second deposit bonus plus the 50% third deposit bonus - PRESTO-CHANGE-O!!! All of FL's obligations met!!! My ass they are! The way I figure, FL owes me a bonus amount of $65!!!*
- And the rest, as you have read, is history.
*Everything in bold face is part of a revelation arriving as a result of composing this post and referring to the 7 Sultan's audit, FL emailed me.
The table, below, is the audit of my "new" 7 Sultans account from its inception up to and including the bogus bonus on a bonus fiasco.
Edit: Thought I might as well add the email to FL inspired by my analysis of the audit.
