OMG... I didn't know Rival were going down THAT route!!

"Yes, you have completed the WR stated in Black & White in the T&Cs, but that's not the real WR - you have to guess how much more you need to wager before your cash-out will be accepted with no repercussions. Get it wrong and you will be bonus banned you evil abuser!!!"

    Jeeeeze! Which casino was that?

Well I dont know if I should say as it was technically in a PM - but it seems all the 'networked' Rivals work the same way based on other tidbits from here and there.

If the rep wants to explain it themselves here then thats great, but PM's are private and it would be against the grain for me personally.

I 100% gaurantee it was true though

When I was bonus banned a few months ago, I mailed the reps on here. Not one of them replied back to me. I guess they are getting enough business at the casinos to care.

Rival have long since had these "secret" terms & conditions, evidenced by other posts in the past year or two.

There is now MORE than enough of what the real world would call "eye witness testimony" to establish that Rival DO "bonus ban" players for nothing more than winning, and they do this often.
Rival than seek to hide behind such statements as "your account has been red-flagged by security....", which seeks to suggest that players were not simply "lucky" with their gaming, but were engaged in some kind of player fraud".

Other casinos use the phrase "red flagged by security" when they SUSPECT that a player has been fraudulent, and thus are investigating their accounts.

This is all down to Rival NOT wanting it revealed that they have this policy of banning (from bonuses) players who have done nothing more "fraudulent" than to hit that "one in a million" session.
Rival "bonus bans" seem to be triggered by extraordinarily low overall wins, which does not make allowance for the natural variance present in many casino games.

Rival are NOT the only casino brand to bonus ban players for nothing more serious that winning.
From memory I have been "bonus banned" from the following merely for winning over the lifespan of my account:-

    Roxy Palace (£5K ahead)
    Casino Spendido (£5K ahead)
Spin Palace (£20 ahead, mostly in the "Munchkins session")
Club World (twice, and for mostly slots play the second time)

These 4 are where my loyalty status would otherwise qualify me for offers stated as being "available for all players"

I also found that all offers from Fortune Lounge casinos dried up, even though it was stated in the rules for my loyalty level that I was eligible for "regular offers".

Offers from BelleRock have mostly stopped, although it is less clear why, and it may have been down to changes in the way they defined eligibility, along with persistent problems with their CS that drove me to stop playing so much, and thus losing my loyalty status, and presumably my eligibility for some promotions.

The plain fact is that so long as OTHER casinos are STILL happy to offer me promotions, I have somewhere else to decant to for my "fix", and someone ELSE gets the chance to win back my earlier winnings (and by the laws of casino mathematics, this WILL be the most likely long term outcome).

It would seem from other remarks from affiliates that roughly 40% of referred players have "decanted" from a Rival casino and gone elsewhere (they can see this in their own tracking stats). There is nothing that states WHY this has happened, but I would speculate that at least some have suffered poor CS, or the "red flagged by security" treatment, and have moved on to try a different casino.

Even players who would otherwise be happy to carry on playing without the bonuses are likely to misinterpret "red flagged by security", and believe that at any time they could face delayed payouts, or a full blown "no pay" fraud investigation on their account.

There is the danger that Rival operators will respond to the loss of players (due to the way they handle these issues, as well as increased publicity of this) by turning increasingly to "the dark side", and following practices that we might see at the less reputable RTG casinos. Rival are ALREADY acting in a manner that is ILLEGAL in many countries, and this is in stating one thing in the terms and conditions, but MEANING something completely different. Worse, by utilising "security" and "red flagging" as a means to control winners, they could be commiting libel against players, because of how OTHERS will interpret these phrases, and what such phrases might imply in a legal setting.

I was a couple hundred ahead at SciFi casino (RTG) when I found out they had told an affiliate my account was flagged by security and marked "Not in Good Standing". What did that mean? It meant I was in the black and ineligible for bonuses (which I rarely took anyway except for winning forum tournaments or whatever).

Was I pissed off. You bet. Did I stop playing there? You bet. So they had no chance to get their money back.

A Rival rep has previously stated on this forum (I don't have time to track it down) that they like for players to play a certain percentage OVER the WR. I forget how much he said. It's insane. As everyone is saying... if WR are NOT 25x but 27.5x (or whatever) then SAY SO! It is a trap, if not openly stated in the T&C.
