    Update

OK did get an email from Bellini manager actually the first basic reply email!!!

He told me (as I thought) that I had chosen paper check. He said due to 'technical difficulties' that the paper check method was changed to bankers draft.

He said they did that to speed up the withdrawal - I think really they should have informed me first unless it's just a mistake they are covering up.

I missed the calls where the 'technical issues' regarding paper check method may have been revealed.

How allowing 21 days for delivery is supposed to be any quicker than a localised papercheck I do not know

Also I think given the circumstances I would have chosen an EXPRESS BANKERS DRAFT. But this choice was never given when the change was made....

Also in the UK wont I be liable for a charge if I try and deposit a bankers's draft?

I think that happened to me once before... if this is the case then I think Bellini should pay any charges I incur as I never chose the bankers draft method. I chose papercheck sent locally in the UK.

would most people expect I still have time to requese the express method - when I spoke online they said the BD has already been processed to casino so express was not an option...

    Thoughts please....

I have experienced "bankers draft" before when withdrawing from my cash ISA at Nationwide. They are, in effect, a cheque by another name. The format is different, in that instead of being from the sender, they are "from" the institution that handled the sender's account. I deposited mine into my own bank account, and there was no charge, and it went through like a cheque. One other difference is that a banker's draft is not seen as quite as safe as a cheque, and should be treated as cash. They cannot be cancelled in the same manner as cheques, and recovering the funds should it be lost or nicked in the post is more complicated.
With luck, the CS don't know what they are on about, and you will get a cheque from, say, ProcCyber through Barclays, and find this is what is meant by "Bankers draft", as opposed to a "cheque" written directly from the casino's own account.
If in doubt, and you have more than one banking account, ask about charges before you deposit. If your bank says they will charge, and the draft is large, wave it under the clerk's nose as you tell them you will enquire about charges at your "other bank".

    Bellini casino avoid!!!

    Hi just an update.

I was correct I had requested a cheque initially on the 13/7/07 I was promised payment by 31st July by an online advisor.

This was then processed on 19/08/07 and changed without my consent to a banker's draft. I was informed this was due to 'technical difficulties' and a date would be the 15/08+/07

I am peeved as I was accepted as having a cheque sent locally. Then they changed this to banker's draft without even asking me. Now the date I am given to receive bankers draft is 19/08/07

If there were technical difficulties. It is there fault and they should have informed me first without changing to banker's draft.

Also as it is there error why did they not offer me the chance of having it sent by express draft. I managed to get through on their toll free phone for UK first time today.

I asked why I could not have an express delivery now and teh otherone cancelled the guy pathetically said an express would take 3-4 weeks still. This must be the most garbage I have ever heard.

Casniomeister if you are listening please put this on your pending rogue list.. Withdrawal request 13/07/07 and receiving date 15/8/07 a month and changing the payment method (local payemnt by cheque was quicker) without asking me first, or giving me the options!!!!

I feel such a fool as I trusted I might receive the cash by the 31st and spent the last 1k on my credit card.

Would anyone recommend doing one of those charge back things and with-holding the latest payment of 1k I made after this withdrawal until I receive my bankers draft?

I am so worried as I will be charged more interest on credit card because of the delayed payment if I get it at all!

    Thoughts please!!!

What if you would have lost? What would you have done then about your Credit Card balance? You should never gambling with funds that will put you in tight spot. You just got to roll with the punches on this one. You for one created this problem. They stated they was sending you your money. Some of us waited up to 6 months to get paid. Surely you can wait a few weeks.

Two wrongs doesnt make a right!

Who's side are you on Atlanta?

I sympathise with people who have waited six months - unacceptable standards..

But equally noone should have to wait a month for a payment or have the type of payment method changed without their consent and the sending perir extended!!

All people are on here to improve industry standards and noone can agree that a month even is acceptable...

A banker's draft is better than a cheque. A banker's draft is a bill of exchange just like a cheque, but it is drawn a bank rather on a customer's account, so it should not be returned due to insufficient funds unless the bank has gone under.

    Wink Good news!

Hi! Just to let you know despite the confusion about when I should receive payment whether by cheque or banker's draft it arrived yesterday, 31/07/07 as officially stated about the cheque. This was instead of the 19/08/07 the customer service team seemed to give. Maybe they were erring on the side of caution?

Have put it in bank and will let you know if it bounces as I know is sometimes the case with the dodgier of casinos if the accounts are empty!

Strangely the bank draft was drawn on Irish bank (posted from Ireland) yet processsed by a Canadian company, suppose it's for security.

Looks OK just waiting the 6 days to see if cheque clears and then I'm happy

So for the moment despite poor commuincation from CS - Bellini gets the thumbs up!!

The poor communication from this Phillipines based casino made me worry (hopefully) unneccesarily. Maybe partly language barrier? Departmental confusion? crosswires?

Well at l least their phone lines appear working now (toll free one)

Will keep all posted whether it bounces or not? Fingers crossed... at least I have it. When I hea some people have waited six months I am relieved truly!

Did they pay you to say that?

If not, you have low standards. I would NEVER go back to that casino.

    Just my 2c.

You must be kidding. After all the hassle, you are still giving them the thumbs up. As for the post by Atlanta, his advice is sound although it may be a bitter pill to swallow. Remember what you experienced, forgotten (no pun intended).

    Second thoughts...

Yes thanks for the last bit of advise the communication was a shambles and very worrying besides.

The phone lines seem to be working now but the mix up with payment methods; dates given to receive cheque by, lack of communication and poor response; should make me think twice about playing again before I was like this :

I shall heed the warnings athough some people seem to be saying Europa/playtech are good eggs.

I was just trying to give over the fact I am relieved to have received a check in hand after all the trouble.

But it is a good idea to remember the awful communication. You are right Atlanta, no my standards are not low I am just relieved!

Will be quick to post though if this payment bounces
