Understanding Bingo Odds
Calculating odds in bingo is theoretically very simple -- it's the number of cards you're playing divided by the total number of cards in play. So if 100 cards are in play, and you have 4 cards, your chances of winning are 4 in 100, or 4 percent. The trick is being able to count how many cards are in play in a game. You can do a head count and multiply that number by what you think is the average number of cards per person, but this can be easier said than done. However, these odds don't apply to progressive jackpot games. Remember that in most progressive games, a winner is not guaranteed. So, the odds of winning a progressive jackpot depend more on the difficulty of covering the pattern in the predetermined number of calls. The odds are so steep in some progressive games that it may be weeks or even months before somebody wins. Which Numbers Come Up Most Often? Everyone wants to know: "What's the secret to knowing which balls will come up most often?" The answer is simple. No single ball has a greater chance of appearing in a game than any other ball, provided that the balls are manufactured correctly, that no one is tampering with the balls, and that the blower machine is loaded with a complete set of 75 balls. Think about it. If you flip a coin three times, it may come up heads twice and tails once. For that extremely small slice of time, it's true that heads is coming up more often. But if you flipped that coin for three hours straight, the laws of probability say that the number of heads and tails counted would be almost identical. Now, let's suppose that, in a two-hour bingo session, N-31 comes up four times while N-42 is never called. It would appear that everybody who wants to win should collect cards that contain N-31. Hold your horses! Over the course of a dozen sessions, or two dozen sessions, there's not going to be much difference at all between the number of times N-31 is called versus the number of times N-42 is called. It's just a coincidence that one was called more than the other for that short period of time.

I tried out the sun & daily record freebies the other day. I lasted quite a while untill i decided to lose it all on the fruit machines.
Just wondering what the payout % of the bingo is, ie 100 people play for a $1 What would the prze pool be? |

Odds regarding the number of times a ball
comes up aren't relevant regarding online bingo sites since they supposedly use randomly generated (although that can also be manipulated at the site because it's software that they have the ability to alter...and if you think they don't, think again)
However, at a land bingo hall, the drum that expels and tosses the balls around will have balls that consistently come up more frequently than others because the balls after time become dented and lose the ability to bounce around via the air inside the machine. The balls have to be changed often in order to eliminate that problem....and most halls will do that during an intermission by replacing all of the balls in the machine with a different set of balls. If they are a reputable and honest site, they throw away the dented balls as they find them and replace them with new so often they have five or six complete sets of balls to do that with. TONI |

Someone sent this to me on Tips and Tricks of Bingo
I like to share it with the Bingo Player. Bingo Tips and Tricks There is very little you can do to influence or predict the outcome at Bingo. Bingo is a game of luck and is played primarily for fun. However, below are some useful tips submitted by visitors. Bingo tips Never play more cards than you can watch, be careful of "play all you want for $" you`ll end up going nuts trying to watch all your cards!!! Never bang while you are dabbing, dabbers work better if you dab lightly. If you bang hard chances are your dabber will leak. - Submitted by avid player. Paper cards with lower card numbers (free space #) tend to have the numbers closer together card #1 (B-1, 2, 3, 4 & 5; I-16, 17, 18, 19 & 20). Longer games like Coveralls tend to draw numbers in sperts close together. 16 17 then 19 and 20 come out. To win more coveralls, try to come in early and get the first set of paper cards issued. On big nights managers stock the counter with plenty cards usually the ones on top are the lowest free space number cards. Be curtious to those around you. Do not yell out loud the number you need! Burning the number (on paper cards) does not mean that it will come out the next time. Buy a card for a neighbor once a night. You never know when you will want one more game when your wallet says it`s time to go! Share the wealth when you win. Toss out a lucky dollar to those around you when you win. If they win a larger jackpot, they could return the lucky dollar (ten fold)! Especially if they win with your lucky dollar! If you want to win at bingo. Play bingo on nights that are generally slower for the operators (Monday - Thursday usually less players than weekends). Being a game of chance if there are fewer players then there are fewer cards in play. If you have as many cards as you can comfortably play and there are fewer cards in play, due to lower crowds, then you have a larger percent of cards in play. Odds in your favor?! Especially if the hall you play at offers electronic bingo (computer bingo) and you have 2 or 3 cards per game. Don`t continually gripe to your partner about your lousy numbers. It really gets on your neighbour`s nerves. Don`t forget to bring tape. Some special games are played on single strips purchased separately, and it`s easier to dab them if they`re taped together. Hint #2 - tape on the back, not the front. Other Bingo Gambling Tips Whatever your gambling activity, below are the three best gambling tips for the general punter or bettor. You can call them what you want but stick to them and you will probably be a winner, stay a winner and enjoy gambling for a long time to come with no pain and no regrets. 1st tip: Gamble money you can afford to lose. If you need the money, don`t gamble. 2nd tip: Gamble half of what you are willing to risk. This way, if you don`t win, you will give yourself a second chance, another day. 3rd tip: Don`t be greedy; if you lose what you have just won, you are. Tips for the methodical gambler If you bet methodically or want to devise your own betting system, then these are the three best gambling tips: 1st tip: Employ this `one-way` winning strategy: Start with minimal bets. When winning, intensify the betting progressively as you win risking only a calculated portion of your wins. Put NO limit to winnings as long as profit is progressing. 2nd tip: Set your target profit levels backwards. It is easier to fulfill a target level backwards (as profit recedes) than forward. The danger of forward profit targeting is that you can get close to it, never quite make it, and then lose the lot. Backward profit level targeting is more suitable on low risk/win ratio betting systems; that is, you risk a little to win a lot but you win fewer times. Therefore when devising your system you should aim to win more money with fewer bets and in fewer winning rounds, hands or cues. Positive progression betting is one way to achieve that. This is usually a more efficient way to bet and gives you more flexibility in managing your winnings. 3rd tip: Approach gambling realistically. You cannot force a winning outcome and don`t expect to win every time. Decide on a plan that lets you play in sessions or intervals, closing each session once certain criteria are met, and don`t aim to win each one of them. Remember, what matters is the overall net profit result.

I always feel dishonest and like im cheating when I do this, but whenever I've played online bingo, its been at about 3am, only about 30 people in the room, and i've bought £10 worth of tickets. Everyone else has been buying maybe 10 tickets max each meaning the total prize pool was only about £15 - £20 each time. But everytime I've played like this I've won...
Not big money but its the only way i've found of winning at online bingo.. oo also, i've found that with some sites, once i've cashed out, left the site for a couple of months, they give me some kind of bonus so I come back. Quite useful when using the method above... But as I said, doesnt feel quite right to play the game in this way. |
