Not Receiving mail notices!!

Over last two days, I've not been receiving email notices of new posts.

Is this function down?

You're not the only person who has noticed this. The site was just moved to a dedicated server two days ago. I have to make some adjustments to get it going again.

Hi Bryan,

I have been having the same problem over several months now, not receiving new post. I only receive the promotional posts. I have to go to the forum topics to review all the new post. I knew you were working on the site and thought it needed adjusting, so just dropping you a line to let you know I am still having the same problem as of August 19.

You should be receiving them. Please check that your email address in your profile is correct, and that your spam filter (if you are using one) is not bouncing them.

And yes, I'm working on the site hoping for a relaunch within a couple of days.

I have the same problem Bryan, I get replies to my posts sometimes, other times I do not. I check hotmail junk and they arent there either. I'm not really bothered by it, but figured I'd lat you know maybe there is an issue.

I'll check back into this again. I moved the site to a dedicated server last week and the email notification was out for a day or two (I was the only one receiving them, so I thought nothing was wrong, duh.) I had to reset it but needed to use different options since this server is set up a little differently.

Bryan, I'm not getting any emails from threads I've posted in now either. They'd been sporadic over the past week, getting like every other post in a particular thread. Now the past couple of days, nada.

Let me know if you'd like a hand, systems administration is what I do for a living.

That's because there was no newsletter last week. The site was in the midst of a relaunch and it was put on hold. You can always reread the last one here https://www.casinomeister.com/newsletters/ or browse the archives if you get bored

I did read the newsletter on the website. I didn't notice the date. Sometimes, I need more than a dictionary (and a drink :beer: ) to read the English post!
I just signed up the newsletter last week and cofirmed my email already. Can't wait to get it next week!

I have a theory about the email notices not being received. It seems when i post at the end of a thread and it gets archived into a dated section, for example here it says Archive through August 27, 2003 that when the newer thread begins I go into what the system believes is a different thread, thus I would not receive email notices to replies because the system would think I was in another thread. I'm just about positive this goes on. Especially since some threads ive posted in go on for 100's of posts and I dont get emails from them.

Thanks for the theory. I'll look into it. The main problem is the three fold. Some of the memory settings versus the new server versus email settings.

Plus my usual "so little time, so many things to do" doesn't help matters.
