I hate the grand national. It is an evil race. The jumps are too high and the result is some horses are killed. These beautiful majestic creatures killed for what? Entertainment, money, gambling. It is a really tragic event and I wish it would be banned.

I agree, although I think show jumping is far worse. Trainers shouldn't put horses through the Grand National knowing that the fitness of some horses is questionable.

We have to accept that not all will make it through Saturdays' race. Animal rights activists have campaigned for years that the Grand National should stop. But for many the National is too profitable for this to ever happen.
