Favorite team that gives you much pain?

What team are you a fan of that gives you the most heartache? For me it is the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB). If they have a losing season this year, they will tie the major league baseball record for most consecutive losing seasons - 17.

They seem well on their way to a losing season, but if they could find just one more decent starting pitcher, and unload Maholm from that spot, they might win 82 games this year. Might. They have some decent firepower in their batting line-up, but pitching is killing us.

Sadly, for me: That NFL Team That Went Undefeated in 1972. Yup, Dolphins and Gamecocks - heartbreakers indeed.

the cleveland browns have made me suffer plenty over the years. the 3 championship games in the late 80's were hell. my friend brian played for them at the time and was beside himself. the 1980 division playoff was a nightmare as well. in recent years they played the steelers, in 03 or 04, and blew a giant lead only to lose in the last minute. i was at that game, in pittsburgh, with a bunch of steeler fans so it was even more salt in the wound.
