Yeah, it was quite the crazy set of matches.
Lidell was getting pummelled with kicks to his mid-section and I think he was a bit leary of getting too close to Jardine. If it weren't for that - Chuck would have knocked him out for sure. I think in a second matchup - Chuck would win pretty easily. Griffen - there wasn't a point in that match where he wasn't winning. Shogun was tired already in the second round. It was pretty surprising since he always looked very impressive in Pride. Sanchez - That was a tight match and both fought well. Fitch is just the better fighter, IMO. He will be at the top at some point. The shockers fro me were Lidell losing and Griffen winning with the Lidell loss being a much bigger upset IMO. |
