does anyone of the webmaster have a tip for a good and easy working "software" to track the clicks on links and banners? for free would be great!

It depends on your needs. I have very simle cgi script installed that counts clicks for every URL. I think you can search script libraries too.

That's what I use, too! It's a good program.

I use ClickMe php script (http://www.ki4bbo.org/?id=php). It doesn't require MySQL and only a few kbs in weight.
