Reason #319 Why Nice People Aren't Republican

Yada Yada Yada, most of your voters couldnt vote back in 1970, hell i couldnt at 9 years old, i judge the man and his record, if you want to go futher , take a look at JFK and Clinton, they shared a deep passion for something else besides a good cigar:D.................laurie

Typical left wing liberal move when things aren't looking good for them. Pull some irrelevant bullshit out of the archives or rather their ass, and try to derail contemporary issues that really matter. In this particular case bernyhel created this thread using irrelevant bullshit to derail forum readers from the thread "Senate race in MA" about the election in Mass. where he made himself look like a fool.

His heading for this thread Reason #319 Why Nice People Aren't Republicans, is a perfect example of how he really thinks and a perfect example why this country's majority, regardless if republican or democrat will stand up for what's right and squash all these types of idiots.

You live your life has a proud atheist. No one here ever said because you don't believe in god you aren't nice. Personally, I think you have a charming personality.

I'm no fkn liberal! I'm an Atheist - a mad as a shit house rat atheist who doesn't want the damn afterlifers screwing their agenda into the only life I got. I think the practice of religion should be a capital crime, and all church property and assets seized and re-invested to pay for all the social crap in perpetuity instead of taxing people to pay for it - foreign aid, taking care of the poor (i don't care if they're lazy or nuts, they shouldn't have to live like pigs with churches filled with gold and controlling trillions) and free tip top medical care for everybody - on the PLANET! F the liberals! They don't want prayer in schools? They want God out of the pledge? Gonna fight tooth n nail to keep the creationist's delusions out of text books? Hooray! Let em turn over their churches, then, an put all the clergy out to get real jobs. Perfect world? No problem - abolish religion and kill everyone who disagrees - POOF! - perfect world! In 1,000 years they'll call it "The Reversed Inquisition." Couldn't be any worse than the original. Make it a Holiday just before New Years. Put up X-Xmas trees. Its the 21st gawdamn century awreddy - lets put all the play money in the world to work where its at least more relevant than cat litter!

That's my motivation. I don't give a flip about any senate seat in MA. I just posted that Nixon dealio cuzza outta all the afterlifers, I just think Republicans are extra evil and mean-spirited and potentially more dangerous to me, bernynhel. And absurd! Got god in their fkn platform fer crissake! Crosses on top of flagpoles! "God over country." Christian terrorists outside of abortion clinics. I mean, from my standpoint, it just doesn't get any crazier than that. No crazier than some poor brainwashed Muslim kid with 20 lbs of C-4 and 50 lbs of framing nails strapped to him on his way to Starbucks in Islamabad. All the same. For nothing! And I don't believe, for a second, that nine tenths of Republicans running on "Family Values" who say they believe in god or that they love Jesus or that they've been born again or whatever actually believe it, themselves - hypocritical sycophants talking outta the sides of their neck. Specially that Nixon guy and his ilk. No matter what year anyone voted for him. WTF does that have to do with anythng or make it OK? Scum of the earth. Scumbag politician in CA, scumbag hatchet man for McCarthy, scumbag from head to toe and laughingly obvious to half of everybody during every moment of his political life.

But Nixon was no joke. He didn't just ruin his own life, he took legions down with him. People who thought he was their friend and backed him since day 1 - lied to them through his teeth while knowing they believed in him. I don't personally remember Vlad the Impaler so....let's name some elementary schools and a library or two after the murdering bastard! Nixon tried to be Emperor of the World and almost suceeded.

Sides, this forum's called "Political Rants" so here I am! I'm not a nice guy cuz I don't believe in God? I've never been accused of pretending to be nice in the first place! Can a thread be a "derail" of another thread? I thought proper forum etiquette dictated that new threads be created in lieu of drailing existing ones.

That's one hell of a post there  bernynhel. I see now that your political discussions never was your main concern in the first place.

Who Cares! Our founding fathers had bigger scandals then this in their time.Besides, I don't go back to the 70's, just out of the crib to judge my party.I see the situation for what it is now and Obama and the rest of the Democrats that support him and his agenda, are very scary and dangerous for this country.

Can't stand democrats, personally. And I am one! Since day one. Never voted outside my party. Never will. Not cuz I believe in any a of the Dems double talk or particularly appreciate their spinelessness. I don't think I've ever voted for a Democrat in my life. And I've never missed an election and have unswervingly cast my ballot straight down the Democratic party lines all the way to deputy dogcatcher in every one of them. I've just always looked at it like I was voting against the Republicans. So any other minor party or independent candidate is of no use to me. Or I'd never a bothered.

I just don't agree with being apathetic regarding history. Some real bad shit happened and it takes everyone of us to have a basic knowledge of who did what and to who and why or else we'll have no collective ability to recognize when we start to repeat some of the worst mistakes of the past. Not to mention that without the building blocks of the past, we cant know where best to stack the next course, making ourselves irrelevant to the present and the future. And that's the scariest thing I can think of and without a basic understanding of how we evolve I don't see how anyone can even know what they should be scared of these, days.

I think you meant to say Republican :p

I totally agree "those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it" but how does that fit in to party debate exactly?

What part of the Democrat party ideology makes you vote for them exclusively? Is it just rebellion against the establishment? Or a vote against organized religion?

I have voted Democrat on many occasions in my life. I think out of the box and am not owned by my party. You should try it sometimes. Just thinking for yourself making your own choices, oh the possibilities just may surprise you.

No, I meant Democrat. They make my skin crawl. Nothing in the Dems' platform draws me, only the omissions. I never voted for one. I have, however, cast every ballot I've ever cast, exclusively (and every time!), for democrats. You see, as far as I'm concerned, that's not a vote FOR A DEMOCRAT, THAT'S A VOTE AGAINST A REPUBLICAN! Comprende, amigo?

Some other post brought up history. I only replied.

O I make my own choices, all right, and I choose to not vote for any afterlifer whose political platform includes language indicating that, if elected, he or she fully intends to make policy decisions based on what he or she thinks I ought to be doing to insure his or her place in the sweet by-and-by.

Tell me who is it then that is trying to deny our most tragic histories even to the point of teaching our children they didn't happen, who?

Regarding felice's "truth in teaching" post (did you even mean to post that in this thread? Directed at me?? Cuz I'm kinna baffled by it but I wasn't totally sure but just in case...):

I don't know who's denying history or what's being taught to kids. And the short answer for the reason for my ignorance on the matter is: "I couldn't care less." You see, I believe that kids are dirty, slimey things. I've felt the same way ever since I was in high school when I noticed that some a my buddy's girlfriend's were "winding up" with em. The next thing I noticed, was some a my buddies referring to their girlfriend's kids as "daughter" or "son". Some even married their girlfriends and were, to the man, miserable for the rest of their lives or they comitted suicide and/or murder. This horrified me to the point to where it actually affected my relationships with my girlfriends, which sucked. Besides, if there is any such thing as karma, I knew that they only way it, or the blob, or the boogeyman in charge of it could ever get back at me for what I put my poor, poor parents through, would be via children of my own. But since I regarded children as dirty, slimey things, anyway, coupled with the knowledge of the horrors some of my buddies suffered, as soon as I turned eighteen I set out to find a doctor willing to perform a vascetomy on me. After only several months, I had the good fortune to convince one doctor that I was absolutely sure I wanted a vasectomy and that I would never change my mind, as by then my ability to convey my real feelings about children had evolved to such a point to where, apparantly, that doctor figured that, by agreeing to perform a vasectomy, he'd be saving a child from having me as a father and I told him so but he denied it. But I believe that we, as pet owners, are all responsible for what our pets know and don't know, and how they behave, as well. Best I can come up with. And I hope that helps!

Is this what you meant to say????

Everything I posted was done so deliberately. Of course, in a purely literal sense, I vote for Democrats because I vote Democrat and only Democrats get on the ticket as Democrats.

If that doesn't help then I don't understand which you're having trouble with.

But my only incentive to vote, at all, is to cancel a Republican vote. I'm not voting for anyone, in particular, though, naturally, in primaries I try to select the candidate who I think has the best chance of winning in a general election - my only criteria.

I work hardest, during elections, to try to convince voters who would normally vote Democrat to not vote for other parties like Greens and such nonsense - Ralph Nader votes and Ross Perot votes, etc. Really a stupid way to express one's self IMHO - cast a secret vote for a candidate that everyone on earth knows for a fact, will lose. Even though I have mostly contempt for the Democrats and as much as I loathe Republicans, I don't get people who say they vote for the "candidate", not the party. Either they are totally out of touch with reality or are simply ignorant of it. That's like saying a Palestinian would vote for an Israeli over another Palestinian, if the Palestinian thought the Israeli was the better candidate. Or vise-versa. That would be an abomination of nature exactly the same as would be my voting Republican.

My self-interests are served, the least, by the Republican Party. And that only comes right after practically none, at all, by the Democrats. The entire breakdown, for me, as I see it, is nothing more than trying to choose less shit over more shit.

Got it  It never dawned on me that someone would always vote against a candidate but never FOR a candidate. You have my vote for cynic of the century!

LOL! Well, then I am glad to a have helped you, in some small way. But it didn't just "happen", as you say. Because of my age, I was refused, flatly, by no less that 50 surgeons before, finally, finding one to agree.

When things like 4 of a kind happen, it strengthens my conviction that there is, definitely, no possibility of God's existence.

Bernynhel,

I want to apologize for my ridicules response to your post above. After thinking about what I said without thought, I realized it was just a dumb self centered reaction.

I truly apologize and will totally back off.

Sincerely,
Carl

Bern, we do have some things in common , we both love animals and we love gambling, we also love life, sometimes you can tell more about someones inner soul by the things they hold dear and post about, your love for animals proves that.

I respect your political veiws and of being an athiest and i think you would have the same respect for mine, your a good person Bern, sometimes you get into some deep off the wall chit:D but hey who am i to judge you, i only have one that i worry about judging me in the end:).............laurie

Well if you're right and I'm wrong and there is a judgment day coming to me then whoever's in charge might as well take the day off because there are those that have gone ahead and saved "him" the trouble and judged me, already.

I want to apologize...

Well thank you but it's not necessary on my account. Your post certainly didn't surprise me nor did I take offense. In fact, I have come to look forward to your unsolicited commentaries and welcome them just for the opportunity to reply, in kind. So if your apologizing, that kind of wrecks the whole "mood" that was just right for our exchange, now doesn't it?. And I am not having the whole dealio ruined, now, just because you got to "thinking", after wards! I was quite pleased with my reply. The lightning-like way it just flashed into my mind the instant I read your post truly felt inspirational. Your post and my reply, together, provides flow that the thread certainly would be lacking without their inclusion. Besides, my own mother insists the best decision I ever made in my life was to not have children. So let's just say you didn't apologize and forget the whole thing. Carry on, then!

It's nice to see your getting things off your chest. Confession is always good for the soul.
