Obama sees US economy improving US GDP growth
Obama sees US economy improving US GDP growth
US President Barack Obama has said that new figures on the American economy indicate progress is being made in tackling the country's problems. The economy shrank at an annual pace of 1% in the April-to-June quarter, government figures have shown. The data was better than expected, but marked the longest period of decline since records began in 1947. More at BBC News BS!! Can someone tell me what has improved?

its' a new economy in the USA anyway, those days of wreckless spending are gone for at least the next 12-18 months anyway.
job growth is a lagging indicator, right now the USA is losing aprox. 600k jobs a month, it takes aprox. 150k new jobs a month just to keep up with those entering the US work force. Americans are saving money, personal savings was slightly negative the past few years, now it is over 6%. |

For all the Republican rhetoric about fiscal conservatism, in the last 40 years the US federal debt as a proportion of GDP increased under Republican presidents, and decreased under Democratic ones.

Where has President Obama 'espoused socialism' for the United States?
Do you have a link to a speech or statement from him where he said this or even insinuated it? Have you ever listened to the president speak or read what he has written? Doesn't sound like you have. Maybe instead of listening to what others say he said or twisted 5 second sound bites... why not try something new and listen to HIM for a change...
