Wingows Assets are bought by Walker poker

Look like Wingows is gone, along with my account in it.

I've been expecting it for a while now, and got my account down to under $50. Another online poker room failure, just more bad news, it seems.

Here is the press relase: http://www.walkerpoker.com/news/pr3424.html

Online Poker room Walker Poker takes over Wingows Gaming assets

Walker Poker, operated by Colkom Inc. announced today, 06/12/2008 that it is taking over the assets of Wingows Gaming, including Wingows Poker player's database. The migration will offer Wingows Poker players around the clock action, massive bonuses and big tournaments with massive overlays.

Wingows Poker has been online since 2006, operating on the Dobrosoft network. At the end of 2006, Dobrosoft has been sold to Panama/Canada based company Digital Gaming Network (DGN). At the end of 2007, Dobrosoft took over the company again, after DGN failed to operate the network. A few weeks afterwards it became clear that a fraud activity and embezzlement in ESCROW money, which have been deposited to ensure player's funds, has taken place by former network operators.
The network embezzlement in ESCROW money and player's money caused Wingows Poker significant personal loses and drove the company to a point it was forced to take actions in order to ensure the benefit of the players.

Wingows Poker was one of the only few poker rooms, which survived the terrible loss and compensated most of its players and affiliates from company's own money. "We tried to recover as much as possible but the loss was too big to handle at a short period of time. Most of the people got their money back from private company resources." Said an official at Wingows Gaming.
According to unofficial sources, Wingows Poker lost more than $500,000 in player's money in the period when DGN operated the network, not including lost of rakes for that period. "We have come to a point where the network lacks the liquidity to recover itself and player's money. Walker Poker ensured that it will do its best to help in recovering old funds". Said an official at Wingows Gaming.

Walker Poker officials stated that the move will speed its growth and will help Wingows Poker players who lost money to get it back. "We have decided to contribute 25% of the income from Wingows Poker players back to the players and affiliates who didn't get their money. We believe most of the players and affiliates will get their money back in the first couple of months." Said Walker Poker CEO.

The migration of the players to Walker Poker will be done in stages. Walker Poker marketing director said "Walker Poker team will contact Wingows Poker affiliates to make sure they don't lose their players from the migration and will offer them a highly attractive deal to facilitate in the transition".

One of the questions that rose was what will happen with Wingows Poker players who have money in their accounts. "This will be a "per player" situation. Walker Poker team will contact each and every player with funds in his account and will work out the best way to recover his funds", Said Colkom CEO. "We promise that all Wingows Poker players who have funds in their accounts will receive special bonuses and incentives to join Walker Poker and help them get their money back and of course a better poker environment".
Walker Poker was established in 2007 and is operating on the Merge Gaming network and platform. Merge gaming is currently one of the only networks that accepts U.S players and is one of the fastest growing networks in the poker world. The network currently peaks 6,000 players online and 500-800 real money players. The network is expected to grow rapidly in the next couple of months as it is expected to integrate new poker rooms.

Walker Poker is offering highly attractive bonuses and tournaments. With a $750 free deposit bonus and tournaments of $10,000/$20,000 and $50,000 on a monthly basis and around the clock freerolls and guaranteed tournaments.

Walker Poker VIP CLUB considers being one of the most unique and rewarding Poker Clubs in the online poker world, which award each VIP player personal attention and a personal assistant to answer all your questions and help in any problem. The cream de la cream of the VIP club is luxuries travel packages including: flights, accommodations in 5 stars hotels and of course, free entry into real live poker tournaments.

I never knew this but I guess that is what happens when you get in bed with Futurebet.

I read on another forum that the owners of Wingows and the owners of Walker Poker are identical. I don't know if this is true, but in May and June cashouts and deposits to Walker Poker named Wingows, Inc. as the payment processor.

    Walker Poker Account UPDATE

Walker is using the Poker.com platform, so I get a lot of entries in the Free-For-All games, which is not all that bad, I ran up a nice bankroll under the Carbon Skin, and at Poker.com before that.

At any rate they got back to me, here is the reply concerning my Wingows account Balance on Walker Poker ( I had to make a deletion or two, but this is the basic reply)

I guess I get something out of it, although I am still trying to figure out what, lol.

    Hello DoverPro

    thank you for your email!

We have transferred your Wingows balance of $48.93 to your new WalkerPoker account.

Now about the cash outs at WalkerPoker: you are able to withdraw all your
winnings on top of the "Wingows" balance. But "Wingows" balance will be
possible to withdraw in amount of 25% of your generated rake.
For example: if we transfer $100 from Wingows to WalkerPoker, player
generates $100 in rake - he/she can withdraw all the winnings and 25% of
rake from "Wingows" balance, i.e, $25.

    Good luck at our tables!

So they are giving you 25% rakeback to clear money you're owed anyway? What a steal!

I got an email from Walker stating they would be transferring Wingows balances. So I emailed them asking about my DGS Wingows balance.

    My email to Walker:

What about the money, $52.50, I had at Wingows on DGS? I was a depositing player at that site. My withdrawal request was not honored. I opened an account at Walker using Suited Pockets’ banner. I have not made a deposit at Walkers. I have since deleted the icon and uninstalled the software. If you are willing to returned my $52.50, I’m willing to start playing at Walkers.

    And Walker's response:

    Hello Jim,

    thank you for your email.
Unfortunately we will not be able to transfer $52.50 to your WalkerPoker account as we overtook only Wingows that was under Dobrosoft network. Your account balance there is $0.00.

And my final response to Walker:

Thank you for your rapid reply. I will not being making a deposit or playing at Walker. There are other sites on the Merge network that don't have a history of having business dealings with crooks and thieves. I will confine my business dealing with those sites and not yours. I will urge others to do the same. Again, thanks for the rapid reply.

    MY FINAL WORD ON WALKER

So I guess you can take a site out of Futurebet but you can't take Futurebet out of a site.

What BS. You have to earn back the money you deposited? There is no way I'll ever play at Walker. I don't care if it's the best freeroll. I'm totally done with them.
