group formed to recover Pokes Poker funds

A group of players owed money by Pokes Poker has joined together to coordinate recovery efforts for unpaid funds. Any player who is owed money by Pokes is welcome to join, as is anybody who has helpful information. We hope it does not come to legal action, but if it does we will benefit from a unified front.

    The group is here:
    http://groups.google.com/group/pokesplayers

After you sign up it may take up to a day for one of the admins to approve you.

Good luck, and I hope you guys get paid. I too hope it doesn't come to legal action, because the lawyer will be the one getting paid the best.

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

Hate to be a wet blanket, but gambling debts due to individuals from a company is uninforcible in the good ole USA unles you are a licensed casino. Then it WILL BE enforced, because the casino has the RIGHT to collect funds owed.

Bryan got many players paid at Pokes, I guess they stopped paying up? Have you gone to DGN/Futurebet or the old Dobro owners about this? Did they use the same cashier as the rest of Futurebet or were they processing their own transactions? When they left Ongame I can't see how in the world they could not have the money. Ongame must have transfered all of that cash to Futurebet.

Quite a number of the players are non-US, but even if this is the case, I doubt if anyone will be seeing any cash at all.

Last week, I was told by FB that they would update me on Monday on all outstanding complaints (check out the Pitch a Bitch Complaints section to get a feel for what is owed), but alas - nothin'.

There were a few players paid at first, most were partial payments. Then....

It's totally beyond me why these players were patronizing this site - must have been one heck of a bonus offer or something. Many of the players who submitted their complaints claimed to be experienced players. Well maybe offline. None of them even bothered to Google "Futurebet" before chalking up some big wins. Stay alert - stay alive - as we used to say on jungle patrol.

I hope that the webmaster that lead these players to this rogue operation has reconsidered what sort of operations he/she promotes. I don't know of a single webmaster (believe me - I know a lot) who would ever consider promoting a Futurebet site.

    Live and learn.

There is a reason there is such a large amount owed here. Pokes Poker was/is allegedly owned by a 2+2'er. He got together with large rakeback affiliates and got them to offer rakeback at this Ongame skin. Rakeback was and still is hard to come by on Ongame. This is why so many high volume players are owed so much money. It seems so difficult that this room cannot pay after the massive MGR players they picked up. One has to believe Ongame has paid them and these players did not deposited all of this money.

This was the same problem Revolutionary Poker had. The biggest problem here is that affiliates just assumed that if it was an Ongame skin it could be trusted. Honestly it's pretty sick that Ongame turned their back here. I don't think trusting Ongame was too much of a stretch. This kind of thing is not commonplace in poker. I knew to avoid FB and tried to tell others to do the same. I think most affiliates just became complacent that anybody could be trusted, especially a skin on Ongame. Players trusted their affiliates and the Ongame brand. Both learned a nasty lesson.

FWIW Futurebet went out and bought their own platform off Dobrosoft but can't pay up on money owed n some cases for over a year.

    This just in from Futurebet:

I was just informed that a News Letter will be going out shortly to all
Pokespoker players in regards to what happened, and PokesPoker have put
people in place to communicate with each player. Moving forward it looks
like Pokespoker will have open communication with all of their players that
    are having issues...
So after all this time, Pokespoker will start communicating with players. Or so they claim.
