Jet set closed with no notice and it looks unlikely players will get their money

Jet set was a small site but it was a small site with a loyal following. So how do the opperators of jetset reward this following? They shut down opperations with less than a 5 minute warning, stopping all games in progress and it appears unlikely that anyone will actually get any of the money in their Jetset poker accounts. I look like losing 25-30$ so its nothing significant. Because Jetset is such a large file i temporarily deleted it from my pc and have no way of getting at the cash even if they were wanting to pay folks.

The problem seems to be that they (like the majority of poker sites) use player funds for other things (with honest intensions of always paying players what they are due).

Unlike casinos players in poker do not play against the house. the house gets a share of the rake (ring) and a tournament fee. There is no need for the site to actually hold the money in the poker accounts. It could be held by a third party.

What happened to jetset could happen in many other sites if we do not get them to change their policies to protect player deposits from being re-invested by the companies.
