    What is CasinoMeisters position on...

Putting Neteller in the Rouge Pit?

I know Neteller is not a Casino, but if any casino acted like Neteller has with peoples money in the past several months I have no doubt that the casino in question would have been thrown into the Rouge Pit without a second thought.

My own opinion is that the Neteller debacle is somewhat different in that, being under investigation, they very much have their hands tied as to what they can and can't do. Each decision they take now regards the US issue will be very much controlled by lawyers and while it is clearly a major issue for players, the fact is they are in a very different position to anyone else. For quite some time, there was even a question mark as to whether US funds would be confiscated by the investigative authorities and they were certainly frozen.

If you look at BetOnSports, you have a similar scenario and they have effectively closed down operations there entirely, but through circumstances outside their control, although the "fraud" element in the case differs to Neteller. I honestly don't think Neteller have any choice in how they get through this, although one does feel that communication with the public could have been better. That said, again, we don't know fully what the legal situation was.

Could you also put McDonald's in the rogue pit Bryan? First bite from my burger yesterday netted a long strand of hair. So grossed out that I threw the whole bag of food out. I want my deposit back! Please rogue them!

I think the fact that Neteller froze Americans funds weeks BEFORE any legal action or the threat of legal action was taken against Neteller by the DoJ kind of dismisses your argument Simmo.

I don't see any difference between getting ripped off by a casino or getting ripped off by an ewallet, but I guess that is just me.

Obviously, my argument is not going anywhere, since CM decided not to comment on this and then getting the smart ass reply from tim5ny.

Just for the record... When the folks in Europe get screwed by Neteller (and some already have) I won't reply with smart ass comments... I understand how it feels to get ripped off for a lot of money and I would not want to make it worse for those that are already upset.

Sorry you took it that way but I am genuinely pissed off at McDonald's right now. I may very well have more money tied up in them than you have with Neteller, so to assume my matter is less important is simply your opinion.. which you are completely entitled to. The next time you get a bag of cold fries then you might see things from a better perspective!

I think the DOJ has seized the neteller money just like they seized the money from other wallets.

Until I know for sure that's not the case, I won't blame Neteller.

Neteller froze all the US money Before the arrests became public...

I know I was trying to withdraw funds on January 16th 2007 at 10:49, the transaction was frozen.

Bloomburg did not report the arrests until, January 16, 2007 11:57

The subpoenas were not issued by the DoJ until Janruary 21st.

    >>added

If you look in this forum back to January 2007, you'll even see a post by me where I talk about how Neteller lied to me about the frozen transaction. At first they told me the payment went out and I should have gotten it already... Then they tell me (after the 21st) that the funds were never paid out and the transaction had been frozen by the US government.

I should also like to point out my funds were/are not gambling funds, my funds were payment for services received.
