are neteller in trouble ?

ive been tryinbg to withdraw from neteller for 3 months now, but i have had every obstacle thrown in my way.

first of something about iban/bic number

i done this, then it deleted my bank details

i entered them again, and yet again they were deleted.

then i was prevented access from enetering them on the system

i had them manually entered

then i was prevented access to the withdrawal page

got this sorted. then i had to re-bloody register my account again!!

had it manually added by CS, with IBAN/BIC etc, micro deposit came through, i then entered my 15p,

WAHAY ALL SORTED AT LAST!! screen confirmed it, email confirmed it

i guess the main questions i want answering are

a) has anyone been able to successfully withdraw from neteller in the past few months ?

b) how much protection by the FSA do i have

c)how do i proceed with a claim against them ?

another thing, if neteller are in the do-daa, does anyone think it might worth "parking" your funds with somebody reputable like betfair, so if they do go under, you can get your funds from betfair ?

Incompetence.

This is run of the mill Neteller incompetence.

F*** 'em and request a cheque - should take around three days to reach a UK client. it's £2 instead of £1, but after 3 months of the runaround should at least get this withdrawal out. Then you can tackle to problem with the bank transfer options.

I did the same when they introduced this IBAN crap. It took them nearly TWO WEEKS to actually tell me this was why my withdrawal had simply stalled. A simple piece of info to convey, but in 4 phone calls no-one at Neteller had any clue, and were suggesting all manner of weird reasons for the delay, one was that the workload from PROCESSING US WITHDRAWALS was causing delays - and now we know that was a load of bull as they were processing NO US withdrawals and covering their a***s.

I withdrew all of my funds via my Neteller card the other day - no prob. By the way, they are in the process of introducing a new card to replace the old. You'll be able to use it like a Mastercard with no fee

I don't know what the problem is with Scrollocks account. If you're still having difficulties, I can have someone check out what's going on.

It does seem slightly annoying in the beginning especially with the introduction of IBAN & IBIC number checks, however once set up, transactions are quite smooth, I have not had any problems in the last couple of months since I provided them with the above numbers.

I have made a few withdrawals recently by check and they arrived in about 3 days.

However I was unable to withdraw in US dollar and I had to settle for their exchange rate in UK Pounds - the robbing baskits.

Unfortunately, my registered account does not seem to have an IBAN, although my others do. I cannot register another account, nor can I amend my current one with these numbers should I find them.

Neteller once suggested I sent them all my banking details by E-mail & THEY would fix it at their end
I don't see how that would be secure and why they even thought of suggesting this to a customer in the first place given the increasing risk of account "hacking".
